The more we learn about Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, the more excited we get.

Universal is slowly releasing information about its brand-new theme park, which will open in 2025, and we now have more details on another interactive land: Dark Universe.

Let’s take a look at the details of this shadowy world.

Universal Epic Universe Orlando

Universal Epic Universe is shaking up the theme park scene in Orlando, Florida.

With 5 new lands, there is truly going to be something for everyone. We already learned about Super Nintendo World and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, well now we have the details for the spookiest land — Dark Universe.

Dark Universe

Dark Universe promises to be a “grim world of myth and mystery” when it opens in 2025. According to Universal, Dark Universe “offers family-friendly fun while also pushing the boundaries on intensity.”

With roaming monsters, experiments of Victoria Frankenstein, family-friendly rides, and a steakhouse for vampires, this land will be like no other.

In Darkmoor, the mangled town in the Dark Universe, keep a lookout for mad scientists, Dracula, The Wolf Man, and more.

Guests will travel deep into Frankenstein Manor, where an experiment-gone-wrong allows Dracula to lead a revolt of enraged monsters, including The Wolf Man, The Mummy, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and more.

Be prepared for a ride that is both dark and thrilling!

Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment will have a minimum height requirement of 48″.

Curse of the Werewolf

Curse of the Werewolf will take guests deep into the Darkmoor woods to the encampment of The Guild of Mystics.

This family-friendly ride is a spinning coaster that has guests board a wagon and race to escape the werewolves in the dark forest before they become werewolves themselves.

Curse of the Werewolf will have a minimum height requirement of 40″.

Darkmoor Village

Darkmoor Village is where the journey begins in Dark Universe after stepping through its electrifying portal.

The village is home to the attractions listed above, as well as shopping, dining, character (monster) meet-and-greets, and more.

Monster fans may spot Frankenstein’s Monster and his Bride, Ygor, The Invisible Man, or even a courageous monster hunter lurking in the shadows.

Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience

At Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, you don’t need to wait until Halloween to get monstrous.

Dr. Pretorius’ old lab will take guests who want to transform themselves into werewolves, vampires, mummies, or something “even more fashionably monstrous.”

Get spooky, and then go lurk in the shadows of Darkmoor Village with your fellow monsters!

Das Stakehaus

Das Stakehaus is the place to go if you like your stake…err, steak…dripping with blood.

This mysterious old inn will be the main dining hall, run by vampires and servants.

Enjoy a meal including kebabs, burgers, sandwiches, and more, and marvel at the vampire artwork and artifacts (monster heads) throughout.

The Burning Blade Tavern

The Burning Blade Tavern is a converted old mill in Darkmoor Village where monster hunters have been known to hang out.

Guests will be able to hear stories from the countryside’s most infamous creature capturers while enjoying a beverage, burgers, wings, pretzels, and more.

Oh, and to make things a bit more dramatic, the windmill at the top of the tavern will erupt into flames several times an hour!

De Lacey’s Cottage

De Lacey’s Cottage will be the place to stop by when you need a quick snack.

A nod to where the original Frankenstein’s Monster once received friendship and sustenance. Guests will be able to order delicious bites like twister taters, ice cream, and even cinnamon bread!

Final Thoughts

Dark Universe is going to be home to monster legends and villains that have long been cast into the shadows. This land at Epic Universe will bring some of our favorite timeless monsters into the present and take guests on an epic journey with them.

With dark thrill rides and new characters, the excitement around Orlando’s newest theme park will only build until it opens in 2025.
