Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

This deal is giving house swap vibes.

Thanks to this cracking deal with United, you can fly round-trip from Miami to San Francisco or from San Francisco to Miami for just $169.

Here’s everything you need to know about the deal and how to book it yourself.

Fare Deal — Details

The distance and convenience of flying a nonstop flight between Miami and San Francisco usually fetch with a higher price tag than just $169.

The flights are with full-service carrier United, too, so not a cramped low-cost airline seat in sight.

United’s Basic Economy fares are its most restrictive. Unless you have top-level United MileagePlus status or an eligible United co-branded credit card, you’ll have to pay $35 for a carry-on bag.

  • Class: Basic economy
  • Routes: Miami (MIA) to San Francisco (SFO) and vice versa
  • Dates: August to November 2025
  • Rates: From $169 round-trip

September tends to be the sunniest and warmest month for San Francisco, so this is a very tempting deal:

As for Miami, it’s almost always hot and sunny. This deal in November could be a great opportunity for San Franciscans to enjoy some winter sunshine at the beach.

Best Ways To Book

I found these fares using Google Flights‘ handy “Explore” tool. It’s advisable to book these fares directly with United, rather than through a third-party alternative. Booking directly with an airline means you’re likely to receive better after-sales care should there be any disruption to your journey or you need to make a change.

Remember, if you have elite status with United Airlines (or any other Star Alliance airline), add your frequent flyer number to the booking so you don’t miss out on earning miles and any status perks and benefits you might have.

Hot Tip:

We recommend using a travel rewards credit card when making this booking. Doing so will earn you bonus points and miles and maybe even some additional perks like complimentary lounge access, even when you’re flying economy! These are the best credit cards for United flyers to get perks and earn rewards.

Final Thoughts

After a few days of cold and grey weather here in San Francisco, the sun finally came out. With it, I felt a newfound appreciation of this city.

If you’re from Miami, I hope these fares help you discover this beautiful city, too. If you’re from San Francisco, these fares are perfect for escaping Karl the fog.
