Is the Eternal City eternally out of reach? Not anymore.

We’ve found an incredible steal that continues dropping in price before our eyes with availability throughout the next 9 months. These routes include San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX) to Rome (FCO) with a stop in Istanbul to experience Turkish Airlines’ flagship lounge experience.

Let’s take a look.

Fare Deal — Details

These flights take roughly 13.5 hours, which couldn’t be better spent with a bit of shut-eye in Turkish Airlines’ comfy, lie-flat seats

  • Class: Business
  • Routes: San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX) to Rome (FCO)
  • Dates: August to April 2024
  • Rates: From $2,091 round-trip

These prices can be found through the tried-and-true Google Flights. Begin by looking for availability for a 9-day round trip between our two destinations on business class. Although you can find routes with varying lengths, 9 days was our sweet spot for most availability

Keep in mind, this isn’t your final price. These arrive at the final screen courtesy of third-party booking sites such as Priceline or Expedia, which will drop your rate down significantly.

This mild layover will give you just enough time to soak up some of the incredible amenities the Turkish Airlines’ flagship lounge has to offer in Istanbul.

The sheer size alone will be enough to knock you off your feet — which will then be promptly pampered in the spa. This place is widely considered one of the top lounges in the world, so don’t miss it!

Best Ways to Book

As mentioned above, prices are much cheaper when booking with a third party versus booking directly. Although we don’t normally recommend doing so, this may be a case where saving $500 on your trip makes it worth the hassle if you need to change or cancel your flight on a third-party booking.

If this is how you end up booking, be sure to use a card such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve® to pay, since it’ll earn you 3x Ultimate Rewards on all eligible travel purchases. It also includes excellent travel insurance for things like delays and lost baggage.

Final Thoughts

Need to getaway? We do, too.

We’ve found some serious bang-for-your-buck with Turkish Airlines through Google Flights. Experience business class and the world renowned Istanbul lounge for as little as $2,091 and as soon as August 2023.
