Delta Air Lines is adding several new routes to Orlando, making visiting the area’s theme parks much easier for U.S. travelers. As first reported by The Points Guy, the Atlanta-based carrier is launching 8 new seasonal flights, none of which touch Delta’s Atlanta hub.

Let’s take a look at Delta’s new routes to Orlando, which will start later this year.

Delta Announces New Seasonal Routes to Orlando

Planning a winter vacation to Walt Disney World or Universal’s Epic Universe just got a little easier. Delta Air Lines is launching 7 new seasonal routes to Orlando International Airport (MCO), offering travelers more convenient options to reach Central Florida during one of the most popular times of year for theme park visits.

Delta’s 7 cities that will operate new flights to Orlando include:

  • Columbus, Ohio (CMH)
  • Grand Rapids, Michigan (GRR)
  • Indianapolis (IND)
  • Kansas City (MCI)
  • Louisville, Kentucky (SDF)
  • Nashville (BNA)
  • Pittsburgh (PIT)

Additionally, Delta will operate a new seasonal route from Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Palm Springs International Airport (PSP).

The newly added routes are set to launch on December 20, 2025, and will run seasonally on Saturdays through April 11, 2026. Delta plans to use regional jets for all these flights.

These additional nonstop flights will operate from a range of U.S. cities, boosting accessibility for families and travelers looking to escape the cold and head for sunshine, thrills, and Disney magic. The expanded service is especially welcome news for those seeking to avoid the hassle of long layovers or crowded connecting flights during the busy holiday and winter break periods.

Delta has historically added seasonal service to secondary markets and mid-sized cities that don’t have frequent nonstop options. These additions help fill a critical gap for travelers who would otherwise need to connect through larger hubs like flying via Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

Hot Tip:

Travelers eager to take advantage of the new routes can start booking flights as early as this Saturday. Delta SkyMiles members can redeem their miles to reserve these seasonal flights, making a winter trip to Orlando even more accessible.

Final Thoughts

Delta’s new seasonal routes to Orlando are a welcome boost for travelers looking to escape the cold and enjoy some winter sunshine — or a magical trip to Walt Disney World. With more nonstop options, easier mileage redemptions, and added convenience from cities that often lack direct service, these new flights make planning a Florida getaway simpler than ever.

Whether you’re a frequent traveler or planning a special family vacation, this expanded service could be your key to a smoother, more affordable trip to the heart of the Sunshine State.
