All SkyMiles Members Now Have Access to ‘Delta Concierge’ AI Assistant

Delta began rolling out its AI-powered “Delta Concierge” platform last year, but it’s now available to all SkyMiles members within the carrier’s mobile app after several rounds of improvements and refinements.

“Over the past several months, we’ve listened closely to how customers use Concierge and rapidly added the features they’ve asked for most. Making it available to every SkyMiles Member is a big step forward in our goal to put more control in customers’ hands, while ensuring Delta people continue to deliver the care and expertise that set us apart,” said Eric Phillips, Delta’s chief digital officer.

What Does Delta Concierge Do for Travelers?

Delta Concierge is now available to all SkyMiles members. When you open your Delta app (iOS, Android), you’ll notice the Delta widget with 2 small stars in the top-right corner of the app’s home screen.

The platform launched last year for a smaller group of members. Since then, the carrier has made improvements, added features, and opened it up to more members. Now, it’s available to all members and offers some new features as well.

One of the newest available features is the ability to cancel an eligible flight via conversation with Delta Concierge. The tool will then submit a refund request or provide an eCredit in real time, depending on what the member is entitled to.

Here’s what else Delta Concierge can do:

Help manage flights, including checking status, rebooking flights, canceling flights, and requesting refunds or eCredits.
Recognize the nearest upcoming flight, allowing flyers to receive help faster and perform essential functions before seeking additional help.
Explain the reasons for a delay or cancellation and help surface alternative options.
Track baggage throughout a given journey.
Provide SkyMiles details, including mileage balance, Medallion Qualification Dollar (MQD) balance, find available eCredits, and more.

If it can’t help you, the digital assistant will connect you with a real-life member of Delta’s customer care team.

Delta says it continues to gather feedback and work on improvements, and that members should see more features rolling out in the coming months.
