Delta’s nonstop service from Salt Lake City (SLC) to London-Heathrow (LHR) is returning.
The U.K. capital is set to become the fourth European destination that will see nonstop service from Salt Lake City, joining Amsterdam (AMS), Frankfurt (FRA), and Paris (CDG).
Tickets are already available for purchase ahead of the route’s resumption on June 6, 2022.
Let’s take a closer look at the details of this important route from Delta’s western hub.
Delta’s Nonstop Salt Lake City-London Service
As of right now, this flight is set to operate daily for the summer season, from June 6, 2022, through October 29, 2022.
The schedule is as follows:
- Depart Salt Lake City (SLC) 8:50 p.m. — Arrive London-Heathrow (LHR) 1:30 p.m. (+1)
- Depart London-Heathrow (LHR) 3:20 p.m. — Arrive Salt Lake City (SLC) 6:50 p.m.
Currently, Salt Lake City-based flyers have to connect — either at another U.S. hub or elsewhere — to reach London. The return of this nonstop route will drastically improve connectivity to the U.K capital, not only for those living in the Salt Lake City area but also those living in destinations across the Western U.S.
Delta has selected its Airbus A330-200 aircraft to operate the route.
These jets carry up to 233 passengers across 4 cabins. There are 34 Delta One seats, 21 Premium Select seats, 24 seats in Comfort+, and 144 in Main Cabin (economy).
Delta is currently retrofitting its entire fleet of A330 jets, with all cabins seeing modernizations and updates. The most noticeable change is the addition of a brand-new Premium Select cabin, which offers more comfort than what you’d find in economy, but without the price tag of a Delta One seat.
Delta Premium Select seats are very similar to the seats in domestic first class. You’ll have more room to stretch out and relax. Elsewhere, passengers in the Delta One and economy cabins can expect a more comfortable ride thanks to new seat cushions.
Final Thoughts
Delta’s nonstop service from Salt Lake City is returning for the summer season as of June 6, 2022. This is great news for flyers in the area (and those connecting on other Delta flights) who will now be able to travel to the U.K. in less time and in greater comfort.
