The Kansas City International Airport (MCI) has just authorized a lease for a new Delta Sky Club. Not only is this exciting for Kansas City Delta flyers, but the Kansas City airport currently does not have any airport lounges, so ideally this will pave the way for further lounges at MCI as well.
Here are the details of the upcoming Delta Sky Club at MCI.
New Delta Sky Club at Kansas City International

The Delta Sky Club is set to be 11,000 square feet and will feature a bar with premium cocktails, seating and charging spaces, and varied dining options.
We don’t have details yet on the construction timeline or when the Delta Sky Club is expected to open officially, though those details should be revealed in the coming months.
How To Get Delta Sky Club Access
The easiest way to get complimentary Delta Sky Club access is by being a cardmember of one of the following credit cards:
Each of the above cards will grant you access to any Delta Sky Club as long as you have a boarding pass for a same-day, Delta-operated flight. This access is just limited to the primary cardholder, though, so you will not be able to bring any guests into the Delta Sky Club with you unless they have a card of their own or are an authorized user on your card.

Final Thoughts
While Delta is far from the largest airline operating out of MCI, and in fact only operates 8 nonstop routes, this is definitely a welcome change for MCI flyers as it will be the first lounge that the airport has had in many years. Ideally, if the new Delta Sky Club is successful, it will be the start of many more to come!
