Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration is still going strong — and now it adds limited-time décor, entertainment, food and beverages, merchandise, and more fall-favorites into the mix.

The self-proclaimed “Happiest Place on Earth” has a long list of celebrations planned this year (with many already happening), and the latest addition is packed with family-friendly Halloween and not-so-spooky fall experiences.

Let’s take a look at all of the details.

Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Celebration

Disneyland turns 70 this year, and the 70th anniversary celebration is the centerpiece.

The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will “celebrate happy” with limited-time parades, shows, food, merchandise, and more through Summer 2026.

From nostalgic throwbacks to brand new (to the U.S.) characters, there is a lot to be happy about in Anaheim.

With so much to see and plenty of time to squeeze it all in, planning a trip to Disneyland should be on your to-do list.

Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort

If you’re looking for a not-so-scary Halloween party, Halloween Time at Disneyland is the place to be.

From August 22 through October 31, 2025, guests can experience Haunted Mansion Holiday, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark, and so much more.

There will be countless pumpkins, signature decorations, attraction overlays, Mickey’s Trick and Treat, themed food, and tons of merch to get guests in the spooky spirit.

And, of course, you can expect Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends to be rocking their new Halloween looks!

Halloween Screams

Throughout the park there will be plenty of special encounters and experiences, one that should not be missed is Halloween Screams.

This nighttime spectacular is hosted by the “Master of Scare-omonies,” Jack Skellington, and his ghostly dog Zero. With projections of your favorite villains on the castle, a soundtrack packed with haunting tunes, and fireworks on select night, this is a must-see show for guests of all ages.

You can enjoy Halloween Screams every night (select nights with fireworks) through October 31.

Oogie Boogie Bash

Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event that offers after-hours, family-friendly fun at Disney California Adventure park.

This “frightfully fun” event is packed with tricks, treats, immersive events, parades, special attractions, and more.

This year’s Oogie Boogie Bash will be held on select nights (dates listed below) from August through October. Tickets went on sale in June, starting at $139 per person, and have already sold out.

If you are interested in next year’s event, be sure to snag your tickets early!

A Celebration of Coco: Plaza de La Familia at California Adventure

Celebrating the Spirit of Día de Los Muertos at the Plaza de la Familia is a must-do for fans of the film “Coco” from August 22 through November 2, 2025.

The plaza has come to life with music, dancing, a memory wall, crafts, and a “hand-animated dimensional figure of Miguel”.

Whether you’re grabbing a photo, snacking on some delicious Mexican cuisine, or taking in live entertainment from the “Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!,” you will not want to skip the plaza.

The Holidays

The holiday season is always a magical time, but more so when the holidays are at Disneyland.

From November 14, 2025, through January 7, 2026, the resort will be illuminated with lights, festive entertainment, specialty menu items, and more.

Festival of the Holidays at California Adventure

From November 15, 2024, through January 6, 2025, guests can enjoy a diverse season of celebration at the Disney Festival of Holidays.

Packed with food, performances, and family activities inspired by the diverse season of celebrations in Southern California, this will be a festive and fun event for many cultures.

Parades and Shows

World of Color Happiness

This all-new show is inspired by Walt Disney’s words from 70 years ago, “To all who come to this happy place … welcome!”

Your favorite characters will be on vibrant floats covered in over 1 million LED lights. A fan-favorite for good reason.

Wondrous Journeys

As part of the 70th anniversary celebration, this nighttime spectacular will transform Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., the Rivers of America, and the façade of “It’s a Small World” into a stunning storyboard.

This stunning show, filled with images and chronicles of over 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios storytelling, should not be missed.

Ticketed Events

Throughout the year, there have been many specialty ticketed events. There is still 1 left… if you were lucky enough to get tickets.

Final Thoughts

2025 marks the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Resort in California, and there will be plenty of events to celebrate. Fall is a uniquely exciting time at the park as Halloween decorations and after-hours parties bring an extra special experience to guests.

If you’re planning a trip to see Mickey on the West Coast, now is a great time, especially for fans of “Coco” and other spooky films!
