The holidays are returning to Disneyland Resort from November 13, 2026, through January 6, 2027, bringing festive entertainment, seasonal food, and holiday vibes to both parks.

That’s all fun, of course, but the part that really caught our attention is a hotel deal that could make an expensive Disneyland holiday trip a little easier on the wallet.

Here’s what you need to know about Disneyland’s 2026 holiday celebration, including what’s new, what’s returning, and how you could save on an on-property hotel stay.

Disneyland Christmas 2026 Dates and New Experiences

Disneyland’s holiday season officially begins November 13 and runs through January 6. This year, Mickey, Minnie, and their friends will debut new holiday outfits inspired by winter travel and an alpine gathering.

Santa Claus is also adding a new stop at the Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn in Disneyland Park from November 13 through December 24. He’ll still appear at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure, too.

Plenty of familiar favorites are coming back, including:

  • “A Christmas Fantasy Parade”
  • “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks
  • “World of Color – Season of Light”
  • Haunted Mansion Holiday
  • “it’s a small world” Holiday
  • Seasonal Cars Land attraction overlays

Sleeping Beauty Castle will also get its usual winter makeover, with more than 80,000 lights and evening “snowfall” around parts of the park.

Disney Festival of Holidays Is Coming Back

The Disney Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure on November 13 with live entertainment and food inspired by holiday traditions from around the world.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad!, “Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season,” and the bilingual holiday show featuring Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland and Miguel from “Coco” will all return.

There will also be 6 Festive Food Marketplaces. If you want to sample several dishes, the Sip and Savor Pass includes 6 digital coupons that can be used for select food and nonalcoholic drinks.

Save up to 20% at Disneyland Resort Hotels

Here’s the part that may actually save you some money: Disneyland will offer up to 20% off select stays of 3 nights or longer for travel between October 11 and December 18, 2026.

Reservations open September 22, 2026, and the discounted rooms will be subject to availability at Disneyland’s 3 on-property hotels:

  • Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
  • Disneyland Hotel
  • Pixar Place Hotel

The hotels will also join the celebration with Santa appearances, seasonal character dining, and the Grand Californian’s 7-foot gingerbread display.

Disneyland Resort hotels aren’t part of a traditional hotel loyalty program, but you might be able to book them through your credit card’s travel portal using points. Just compare the points rate with Disney’s discounted cash price before booking.

Final Thoughts

Disneyland’s holiday season brings plenty of festive fun, but the hotel savings are the real highlight here. If you’re planning a visit, compare Disney’s discounted rates with nearby hotels and points options before booking to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
