Chasing status with Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue program? Thanks to this new promotion, you can fast-track your way to the next status level.

Some lucky Flying Blue members have received an offer of double XP (Flying Blue’s status-earning Experience Points) for a fee.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Earn Double XP Points for a Limited Time

When I heard about this, I logged straight into my Flying Blue account to see if I’d been targeted. Unfortunately for me, it looks like you’re only eligible if you received an email from Flying Blue.

There may still be time to receive the offer, as the registration deadline isn’t until February 19, 2026.

There’s a €169 ($198) fee to sign up for the bonus. While by no means cheap, it’s a worthwhile investment if you’re chasing Flying Blue status this year (like me).

You’ll receive double XP on all flights operated by Air France or KLM from now until April 30, 2026. However, the offer is not valid for any flights that were booked before registering.

Hot Tip:

Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue program has some excellent options for redeeming miles.

Is the Flying Blue Double XP Offer Worth It?

If there’s no chance you’ll book and fly an Air France or KLM flight before April 30, then it’s not worth spending your money on the offer.

On the other hand, if you have travel you need to book before April 30 that could be with Air France or KLM, then it would be worth your while.

For example, I need to get back to Europe from Brazil before the end of April. I was considering flying a mixture of SkyTeam airlines (such as Aeromexico and Virgin Atlantic) to maximize XP earnings while avoiding expensive premium cabin fares on nonstop routes.

If I’d been targeted with this offer, I’d certainly considered flying business class with Air France or KLM, as this single return trip would earn me around half the 150 XP to move up to Flying Blue’s Platinum status. For example, a one-way flight in business class from Brazil to Paris earns 36 XP, which would be doubled to 72 XP with this offer.

Final Thoughts

Bonus status-earning points are invaluable to those who are chasing elite status. In this case, if you have Air France or KLM flights to book and fly before the end of April, then this offer couldn’t be better timed for you. However, even when there’s a great offer like this, it doesn’t always mean it’s right for you. If it sounds good for your plans, check your emails to see if you have this offer.
