If you were looking for an easy way to earn some extra Marriott Bonvoy points, you’ll want to pay attention to this offer from American Express and Marriott.

If you hold either the Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card, you can now earn up to 10x points on eligible spending when checking out with PayPal.

Offer Details

This offer is a huge increase of 8 additional points per dollar spent on top of the typical 2x per dollar spent, bringing the maximum earning potential to a very generous 10x points per dollar spent.

Signing up is easy — you can do so at this link.

Then all you’ll need to do is provide your credit card number, use the RSVP code that some members were emailed, or, simply log-in to your American Express account.

To be eligible for the bonus points, you must enrolled by December 17, 2021 at the very latest. Only transactions made before December 31, 2021 will trigger the bonus points, and cardmembers can earn a maximum of 50,000 bonus points.

The offer is only valid for purchases made in U.S. dollars from U.S. PayPal accounts. Purchases in any other currency or from non-U.S.-based PayPal accounts will not be eligible for the bonus Marriott points.

The only purchases eligible to earn bonus points through this offer are those for goods and services. Other types of PayPal transactions such as interest charges, cash advances, personal payments, the purchase or loading of prepaid cards, and purchases of travelers’ checks will not earn bonus Bonvoy points.

Cardmembers can expect to see the bonus points post to their Marriott Bonvoy accounts no later than 12 weeks after the end of each eligible spending month.

Final Thoughts

This latest offer is a great way to bolster your stash of Marriott Bonvoy points. With the holiday season fast approaching and presents to be bought, you could be well on your way to earning a chunk of those 50,000 bonus points that are up for grabs.

You could also consider paying your federal income taxes using PayPal. If you use payUSAtax.com, you’ll be charged a little less than 2% — and you’ll earn 10x Bonvoy points per dollar on the transaction.

Finally, let us remind you that there’s also currently a 5x Chase points bonus on PayPal transactions with the Chase Freedom Flex℠. In this case, if you have both cards, you should focus your PayPal spending transactions that will earn you the points you personally get more value from.
