Why not earn extra miles while buying a new phone, laptop, or other piece of Apple tech? This option has existed for a while now with many airline loyalty programs, but it hasn’t existed with Flying Blue until now.

Flying Blue is a valuable program, shared by Air France and KLM, and rates for earning miles on purchases are quite good.

Here’s how it works.

Earn Flying Blue Miles on Apple Purchases

Travelers can now earn Flying Blue miles on Apple purchases, including phones, computers, headphones, and more. At best, these offers provide as many as 4 miles per $1 spent. However, that rate doesn’t apply to every purchase.

Shop on the dedicated Flying Blue shopping portal for Apple products.

You can clearly see the number of miles you’d earn on a purchase while viewing a product, along with available storage sizes, colors, and other features.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to sort products by earning rate. You need to do your own math to see how many miles you’d earn per $1 spent.

For example, the iPhone 17 Pro above is offering 1,574 miles on a $1,099 purchase — a rate of just 1.43 miles per $1 spent. However, this MacBook Neo is offering 1,867 miles on a $599 purchase. That’s a much better earning rate of 3.12 miles per $1 spent.

Flying Blue is a quality rewards program with some excellent award rates on certain routes, including between the U.S. and Europe. Check out our favorite ways to use Flying Blue miles for top value.

Is This a Good Deal?

Should you use the new Flying Blue shopping portal to earn miles on Apple purchases? It depends.

You should definitely compare the prices (including shipping rates and shipping timelines) here with other options. Are the prices similar? If so, it comes down to your preference for the type of miles you want to earn.

Sites like CashbackMonitor.com can tell you what offers are available for earning cash-back or points and miles on purchases, helping you get the most rewards possible on purchases. Flying Blue isn’t your only option, so compare the earning rates and think about how valuable the currencies are to you once you’ve found a price you like.

Final Thoughts

It’s now possible to earn Flying Blue miles on Apple purchases. This applies to a full range of tech items, including MacBooks, AirPods, iPhones, and more. You can earn as many as 4 miles per $1 spent.

However, that’s a best-case scenario, and not every product offers 4x earnings. Make sure you comparison shop for product prices and earning rates to get the best value before completing a purchase.
