Emirates has rolled out new amenity kits for its economy and premium economy passengers.

The U.A.E-based carrier’s new sustainable amenity kits are in partnership with United for Wildlife — a charity fighting against the illegal trade of wildlife and wildlife products.

“The illegal wildlife trade is international organised crime that is driving many iconic species around the world towards extinction at an alarming rate,” said David Fein, co-chair of United for Wildlife. “Emirates have consistently demonstrated leadership and commitment in tackling this global threat. We are delighted to see the new amenity kits from Emirates now onboard and hope that passengers find them informative and inspiring.”

Here are the details of the new amenity kits you can expect on your next Emirates flight.

Emirates Partners With United for Wildlife for Newest Amenity Kits

At a time when concern for the planet and the species living on it is at the forefront of our minds, Emirates has decided to highlight the illegal trade of wildlife with its new economy and premium economy amenity kits.

The kits will come in 8 different designs. Each will depict 1 of the 8 most trafficked animals in the world: the green sea turtle, the African elephant, the blue macaw, the gorilla, the hammerhead shark, the lion, the pangolin, and the black rhino.

Emirates Premium Economy
Emirates’ premium economy was only introduced in 2022 and its seats, which are arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration, are often pitted as one of the best premium economy products in the skies. Image Credit: Emirates

In the name of sustainability, the reusable amenity kit pouches are made from washable kraft paper, and the ink used to depict the animals is soy-based and non-toxic.

Inside the kits, passengers will find socks and eye masks made from recycled rPET plastic and a toothbrush made from wheat straw and plastic. And by the end of the year, earplugs will be back by popular demand.

The new kits are being handed out now to economy and premium economy passengers on all Emirates long-haul flights.

Final Thoughts

Emirates’ new sustainable amenity kits for economy and premium economy passengers are being used as a vessel to showcase the airline’s concern for the illegal trade of wildlife through its close partnership with United for Wildlife.
