Emirates Skywards is offering bonus miles for members who fly on 16 different partner airlines, including Air Canada, Copa, and United.

This is an interesting offer for Skywards members who want to earn bonus miles on flights, though it’s only available on flights in the month of September.

Does it make sense to pursue an offer with such a short travel period? Let’s take a closer look.

Skywards Promotion for 50% Bonus Miles

Skywards is the rewards program for both Emirates and its low-cost sibling, flydubai. Right now, you can earn 50% bonus miles on flights with 16 partner airlines, though easyJet and flydubai flights aren’t eligible for this offer. You also can earn 50% bonus miles on hotel stays.

This offer applies to flights booked any time or hotel reservations made by August 3, 2025. Eligible hotel stays are July 3-September 30, while eligible flights are only September 1-30, 2025.

All fare types with partners are eligible for bonus miles. Eligible partner airlines for 50% bonus miles include:

  • Aegean Airlines
  • Air Canada
  • Air Mauritius
  • Azul Brazilian Airlines
  • Bangkok Airways
  • Condor
  • Copa Airlines
  • Garuda Indonesia
  • GOL Airlines
  • Japan Airlines
  • Korean Air
  • Malaysia Airlines
  • Olympic Air
  • South African Airways
  • TAP Air Portugal
  • United Airlines

For hotel stays, Skywards members can earn up to 10,000 miles per night before any promotions. During this offer, they’ll earn 50% bonus miles based on the base miles of the hotel reservation. Bonus miles won’t be earned on top of rewards from the credit card used for payment.

As always with this kind of promotion, there are some terms and conditions to take into consideration:

  • Book a flight any time and travel September 1-30, 2025.
  • Book a hotel stay July 3-August 3 and stay July 3-September 30, 2025.
  • All fare classes are eligible on partner flights.
  • Bookings made using miles for all or part of the fare are ineligible.
  • Bonus miles are not status-qualifying miles.
  • Members must add their Skywards number to flights before departure.
  • Hotel stays must be booked through Skywards Hotels.
Hot Tip:

Looking for ideas on how to earn more Skywards miles or redeem your Skywards miles in valuable ways? We’ve got you covered.

Is It Worth It?

Emirates has an interesting — and diverse — set of airline partners. If you were planning to book a flight with any of these 16 airlines, crediting that flight to Skywards could earn 50% bonus miles if you’re flying in September.

How does that compare to crediting a flight to some other program? It’s worth comparing, because Emirates may not be the most rewarding option, given that airline programs vary wildly in how you earn miles.

What about hotels? Compare the bonus miles available from Skywards Hotels and the price of your room against the price other websites are charging. What’s the cost to book directly with the hotel or through a site like Hotels.com? If the costs are relatively similar, getting bonus Skywards miles could be nice.

For context, we value Emirates Skywards miles at 1.1 cent each.

Final Thoughts

Emirates Skywards members can earn 50% bonus miles on hotel stays and partner flights through September 30. Hotel stays are eligible for this offer already, though flights don’t become eligible until September 1.
