Airlines and hotels will often team up to provide reciprocal benefits for travelers, and this latest partnership is no exception.

Etihad Airways, one of the world’s leading airlines based in Abu Dhabi, is partnering with Hyatt, one of the largest global hotel chains, for a new promotion.

If you have a World of Hyatt loyalty account (it’s free to sign up!), you can now register to earn 1,000 Etihad Guest miles per stay for the next 2 months.

Etihad Guest and World of Hyatt Launch New Promotion

It’s no secret that World of Hyatt is one of our favorite hotel loyalty programs here at Upgraded Points. It offers an expansive portfolio of resorts and hotels worldwide, with meaningful earning and redemption opportunities.

The loyalty program also maintains a few partnerships in the travel realm, including American Airlines, FIND Experiences, and formerly with Lindblad Expeditions.

Thanks to this new promotion, World of Hyatt members can now earn 1,000 bonus Etihad Guest miles per stay upon completing the following requirements:

  • Register for the promotion by July 1, 2025.
  • Complete a stay at an eligible Hyatt hotel or resort between May 15 and July 14, 2025, with a paid or award booking.
  • Stay at properties in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

That’s a pretty generous offer, considering you’ll receive Etihad Guest miles on top of any Hyatt points earned (5 base points per $1 spent).

Hyatt says it could take up to 6 to 8 weeks for the Etihad Guest miles to be credited to your account.

How to Maximize Etihad Guest Miles

Etihad Guest miles are worth 1.4 cents apiece, according to our valuations. In other words, 1,000 miles is worth about $14, which isn’t much on its own. But they can add up the more Hyatt stays you have during this promotion.

However, Etihad’s frequent flyer program shouldn’t be overlooked. You can get some outsized redemption value, especially for these business-class flights:

  • Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Seoul (ICN) on Etihad: 75,000 miles
  • New York (JFK) to Madrid (MAD) on American: 80,000 miles
  • Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo (HND) on American or ANA: 120,000 miles

You can also transfer Amex Membership Rewards, Capital One miles, and Citi ThankYou Points to Etihad Guest at a 1:1 ratio.

Hot Tip:

In 2023, Etihad launched a new zone-based award chart that devalued numerous sweet spots. Still, the program made 1 positive change: the ability to book American Airlines and Virgin Australia partner award tickets online.

Final Thoughts

World of Hyatt members can register for this great new promotion until July 1, and eligible stays run from May 15 to July 14. We won’t say no to 1,000 free Etihad Guest miles per stay, considering they can be used for future award flights!
