We have some big news out of the Big Apple today. The swanky Four Seasons hotel in Midtown Manhattan, closed since 2020, is reopening next month for guests.

Before it opens, here’s everything you need to know about the ultra-luxe Manhattan hotel.

Second Four Seasons Returns To New York

Located on Billionaire’s Row, the 52-story Four Seasons Hotel New York officially has a reopening date: November 15, 2024.

The rooms will reopen in phases, with all suites expected to be available next year. Four Seasons says it will also offer 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom extended-stay options, some with private terraces.

And it’s a beauty. The hotel now boasts a new Les Clefs d’Or concierge team, 2 new restaurants, and some of Manhattan’s largest rooms and suites. Amenities include a fitness center, 15,000 square feet of event spaces, a sauna, and a steam room. The spa will be available in 2025. Four Seasons New York also has robust children’s programming, including welcome amenities and babysitting services.

This property is not to be confused with the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown. That hotel, which is close to Wall Street, has 189 guest rooms and suites.

The Four Seasons has historically been among New York’s most exclusive hotels, and with good reason. Should you want to book a stay, that distinction doesn’t come cheap. The rates we see in 2025 start at almost $1,200 per night! If you’re planning on shelling out that amount of cash, make sure to put the spend on a credit card that earns travel rewards. (Four Seasons does not have a loyalty program, so you won’t be able to book with points.)

“At Four Seasons Hotel New York, our team has always taken pride in knowing our guests personally, anticipating every need, rising to every new opportunity, and ensuring that every New York minute ignites memories to last a lifetime,” says general manager Michal Dedera.

Hot Tip:

You can get 15% off your stay at the Four Seasons New York when you book your stay in advance.

About Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts

The Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts brand is among our favorites at Upgraded Points, thanks to its heavy emphasis on a luxury experience.

Today, Four Seasons has more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide and continues to expand, with dozens more in the pipeline.

Four Seasons has recently jumped into other travel ventures, like offering fully inclusive private jet and yacht itineraries.

Final Thoughts

It is exciting to see the Four Seasons New York reopen, especially with the hotel’s upgrades to its rooms and amenities. Fans of the brand will once again have 2 options in New York for a truly high-end experience. If you plan to visit the Four Seasons New York, you’d better save money (and pay with a travel rewards card), because this hotel isn’t cheap!
