Four Seasons has announced a new property in Zanzibar, Tanzania; the brand’s second property in the country.

Here’s what you need to know about this new luxury hotel.

Second Four Seasons Hotel in Tanzania

The Four Seasons Resort Zanzibar will have just 60 one-to-three-bedroom private villas with beachfront access. Amenities include 5 dining options, a pool, kid’s programming, meeting spaces, and a spa. The hotel will also be a short flight from the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, renowned for safari excursions.

The resort will be near Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ). The airport serves airlines such as Ethiopian, Kenya, Qatar, and Turkish, all of which offer flights from the U.S. in cities such as Atlanta (ATL), Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), New York-Newark, and Washington (IAD).

It’s unclear when the Four Seasons Resort Zanzibar will open for guests just yet.

“With this incredible island’s dynamic character and beauty on display, we look forward to welcoming guests as they discover a new side of Tanzania alongside the commitment to genuine care and service of Four Seasons,” said Bart Carnahan, President of Global Business Development, Portfolio Management and Residential at Four Seasons.

Bottom Line:

This will become Four Seasons’ second property in the East African country of Tanzania, after the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. The brand has an impressive presence in Africa, with resorts in some of the world’s most exclusive destinations, such as the Seychelles and Mauritius.

What to Know About Four Seasons

Four Seasons has been considered one of the world’s most luxurious hotel brands since its founding in the 1960s. At every Four Seasons hotel, you’ll find high-end rooms, high-quality service, and 5-star dining.

In recent years, Four Seasons has expanded from hotels, resorts, and residences to offering fully inclusive private jet itineraries. The brand will also launch Four Seasons Yachts next year.

While Four Seasons doesn’t have a loyalty program or the ability to earn points through the hotel, you can still maximize your stay. If you book your stay through Four Seasons Preferred Partner (invitation-only), The Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection (LHRC) from Chase, or American Express’ Fine Hotels + Resorts Program, you’ll receive perks like room upgrades, resort credits, and complimentary breakfast.

And, of course, you’ll earn points when booking directly with Four Seasons, so make sure to use a credit card that rewards for travel purchases.

Final Thoughts

Four Seasons has announced a new resort in Zanzibar, one of the most sought-after destinations on the Continent. It will offer everything the brand is known for, such as prime location, luxury rooms, and high-quality dining. While we don’t know when the hotel is scheduled to open, this is a perfect time to check out the brand’s other resorts across the Middle East and Africa!
