Spirit Airlines often gets criticism from travelers for its low-cost fares that require paying extra for everything — from carry-on bags and seat assignments to even a glass of water.

However, Spirit has recently been stepping up its inflight experience with premium offerings that are making passengers of legacy carriers take notice of this Fort Lauderdale-based low-cost airline.

Now, Spirit is rolling out its highest-ever welcome offer on its most premium card: the Free Spirit World Elite card. New applicants can earn 65,000 bonus points plus a $100 Companion Flight Voucher after spending just $1,000 within the first 90 days. That’s a lot of value for a relatively low spend. You can apply for this elevated offer on the Bank of America website.

The public offer is 5,000 points less with the exact same minimum spend requirement. This elevated offer was first noticed by Danny the Deal Guru.

The catch? To unlock this offer, you need to apply using promo code 110662, which flight attendants have been handing out on select Spirit flights. This offer isn’t available online by default, so you must enter the flight attendant’s promo code manually when applying.

We value Free Spirit points at 1.1 cents each, making this elevated offer worth approximately $815 in flights.
