Frontier Airlines has unveiled no less than 30 nonstop routes — including 2 brand-new destinations for the airline.

The ultra-low-cost carrier is ramping up its service ahead of what many hope to be the summer when travel returns for good.

The new routes are primarily out of Philadelphia (PHL) and Raleigh-Durham (RDU) while the brand-new destinations to be added to its route map are the Mexican cities of Guadalajara (GDL) and Monterrey (MTY).

Let’s look closer at this huge network expansion.

Frontier Adds 30 New Nonstop Routes This Summer

This news comes shortly after Frontier announced its plans to merge with Spirit Airlines. And it’s not surprising, with 30 new routes being added, that the rollout will span a whole 2 months — from April 28 through June 17, 2022.

In tandem with the announcement of these new routes, Frontier has introduced promotional fares on certain flights, on certain days, so long as they’re booked before March 15, 2022.

Perhaps the most exciting routes of all are 2 from Las Vegas (LAS) to Guadalajara (GDL) and Monterrey (MTY) — 2 cities where Frontier will touch down for the first time. This will bring the total number of Mexican destinations served by the airline to 5.

Bottom Line: Frontier is making huge changes to its route network this summer as travel rebounds. It seems like big route announcements are a current trend in the U.S. as Avelo recently announced it would also be adding dozens more routes this summer. Which airline will be next?

A combination of Frontier’s all-economy Airbus A320 and A321 jets will operate the new routes.

Here are the details of each new route along with its start date and frequency:

Final Thoughts

Frontier Airlines will be adding 30 routes to its network from April 28 through June 17, 2022.

Not only will those flying Frontier have more domestic connections this summer, but they’ll also benefit from nonstop service from Las Vegas to the Mexican cities of Guadalajara and Monterrey.
