Hyatt is expanding its Grand Hyatt brand with the opening of an upscale hotel in the heart of Barcelona, Spain.

Grand Hyatt’s Fifth European Hotel

The Grand Hyatt Barcelona has 465 guest rooms, including 49 suites and 1 penthouse suite. Guests looking to be in the center of Barcelona are in luck: the hotel is a few minutes away from historical landmarks, dining and shopping, and, for football fans, Camp Nou, where FC Barcelona plays.

Amenities include 2 dining outlets — including a rooftop restaurant — a spa, a pool, 22 meeting rooms over 35,000 square feet, and a grand event space.

Booking Grand Hyatt Barcelona

The Grand Hyatt Barcelona is now open for guests. It’s part of the World of Hyatt loyalty program, which means you can earn and redeem points at the hotel.

You’ll find cash rates around $330 per night for dates this fall. Given the high cash rates, you’re better off using World of Hyatt points.

Hyatt is 1 of the few major hotel chains still using an award chart. The Grand Hyatt Barcelona is a Category 5 property, so standard room awards start at 17,000 points per night and up to 23,000 points per night.

World of Hyatt points aren’t easy to earn; however, they are incredibly valuable — especially in Europe.
