Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines have long been known for their fun, family-friendly spirit, and that hasn’t changed since the 2 joined forces.

Now, Hawaiian is taking things up a notch with a new series of inflight collectibles designed to engage travelers of all ages, from aviation enthusiasts to little flyers earning their first “wings.”

Here’s a closer look at Hawaiian’s newest way to make travelers’ flight experience a bit more memorable.

Pilot and Digital Collectible Cards Take Flight

Starting today, travelers flying Hawaiian Airlines can ask a crewmember for 1 of 4 exclusive pilot trading cards, created in partnership with the airline’s pilots and the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA).

Each card highlights 1 of Hawaiian’s aircraft — the Boeing 717, Airbus A321neo, Airbus A330, or Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner — and includes fun facts, as well as a space for pilots to autograph.

For travelers who prefer something digital, Hawaiian has also launched an industry-first digital card program, featuring 66 unique designs inspired by the names given to each aircraft. The Boeing 717s are named after native birds, 787s and A330s after stars and constellations used by Polynesian voyagers for navigation, and the A321neos after native plants and forests.

Guests can simply tap their smartphone against the NFC tag near the boarding door to unlock a card, learn the story behind it, and store it in a digital binder — all while connected to Hawaiian’s complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi.

“These cards were designed in collaboration with our pilots and embody ALPA’s mission to promote and champion all aspects of aviation,” said Captain Larry Payne, Hawaiian Airlines Master Executive Council (MEC) chair of the Air Line Pilots Association, Intl. (ALPA). “They’re more than collectibles — they give guests a chance to learn about Hawaiian Airlines aircraft and connect with the pilots who operate them.”

Keiki Wings for the Airline’s Youngest Flyers

Rounding out the lineup of inflight collectibles, Hawaiian is also rolling out clippable Keiki Wings — a small but meaningful tradition for kids taking to the skies.

Each pair is stamped with the Hawaiian Airlines logo and the words “Future Crew.” These can be requested from a flight attendant while on board. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hot Tip:

If you want to collect Hawaiian’s pilot trading cards or get a pair of Keiki Wings, make sure to ask a pilot or crewmember early in the flight. Supplies are limited, and certain aircraft types may go fast. Remember to tap your phone to the NFC tag near the boarding door to start your digital collection, as well.

Final Thoughts

For travelers flying Hawaiian, these new collectibles add a fun, family-friendly twist to the experience. If you’re interested in getting one, it’s best to ask a crew member early in the flight. Supplies are limited and can go quickly.
