Hilton is going off-the-beaten-track with a new partnership with AutoCamp, offering niche boutique experiences in hybrid hotel/camping settings across the U.S.

“This is the first time a major hospitality brand and outdoor lodging company have come together in this way to create even more choices for travelers while redefining the outdoor hospitality experience,” said Chris Silcock, president of global brands and commercial services at Hilton.

Let’s take a look at the details Hilton’s first-of-its-kind partnership.

Hilton and AutoCamp Announce New Partnership

The news comes just weeks after Hilton announced a major partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World — another boutique accommodation brand.

When the AutoCamp partnership launches, Hilton Honors members will be able to use points to book stays at AutoCamps 7 locations across the U.S., including Asheville, North Carolina; Cape Cod, Massachusetts; Catskills, New York; Joshua Tree, California; Russian River, California; Yosemite, California; and Zion, Utah.

According to AutoCamp’s website, new locations in Hill Country, Texas, and Sequoia, California, will be opening soon, bringing the total number of locations to 9.

Each of AutoCamp’s locations is in areas of outstanding natural beauty and encompasses all the elements that an adventure-seeking traveler would look for in a stay.

“Our mission at AutoCamp has always been to reconnect people with the outdoors and each other,” said Neil Dipaola, found and CEO at AutoCamp.

More information regarding the launch date of the partnership, as well as how many points it will cost for an AutoCamp stay, will be released soon, according to Hilton.

The decision to partner with AutoCamp is based on Hilton’s desire to stay relevant to younger generations of travelers, such as Gen Zs and even Millennials, who are more inclined to take a nature-oriented trip.

“We know today’s travelers are craving adventures when planning their next trip, and that’s why we look for innovative and like-minded partners like AutoCamp,” said Silcock.
