IHG is continuing to expand in the Australian city of Geelong with the opening of a new Holiday Inn & Suites.

Here’s what you need to know about the new property.

IHG Continuing Expansion in Geelong

The Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong has 180 rooms and suites, all of which include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated “e-bar” to charge your devices.

Amenities inside the hotel include all-day dining options, meeting and event spaces for up to 110 people, a heated indoor pool, and a gym.

IHG says the hotel is accessible to travelers with various needs. There is elevator access to all floors, visual and audible alarms and alerts, and Braille signage in elevators and public areas.

This news comes a few months after IHG announced another hotel in Geelong, a city of ~5 million people located southwest of Melbourne.

The 200-room and suites Crowne Plaza Geelong will be part of the Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre, featuring a 1,000-seat venue, meeting spaces, and public space. It is expected to open in 2026.

How To Book the Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong

The Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong is now open for guests and is participating in the IHG One Rewards program. That means you can earn and redeem points towards a stay.

Award nights are moderately priced for a Holiday Inn, with rates starting at 25,000 points per night this fall. You’ll also find cash rates starting around $130 per night.

IHG One Rewards points are relatively easy to earn by spending on co-branded IHG credit cards or by transferring points from other loyalty programs. The hotel chain offers 3 co-branded IHG credit cards, which are all issued by Chase.
