IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened a new Hotel Indigo property in Mexico, in the town of La Paz.

Here’s what you need to know about IHG’s newest hotel in Mexico.

Hotel Located Near Los Cabos

Hotel Indigo La Paz Puerta Cortés has debuted in the Mexican region of Baja California Sur. The 115-room hotel is located steps from the beach and is close to the popular town of Los Cabos. Room options range from standard king rooms to suites with views of the bay or sea.

Amenities include 2 restaurants, a beach club, a gym, an infinity pool, a lap pool, a spa, and meeting and event spaces. Guests can also access a golf course and outdoor water activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving.

The hotel is approximately 30 minutes from La Paz International Airport (LAP), which provides 1-stop connections from the U.S. on airlines such as Aeromexico and VivaAerobus. San José del Cabo Airport (SJD) is a 2-hour drive, though the airline has nonstop flights from several airlines in the U.S. airlines such as Delta Air Lines and JetBlue.

“As The World’s Neighborhood Hotel, we are excited to arrive in La Paz – a community of the sea, for the sea, and for each other – and to bring an elevated lifestyle stay experience to this cherished paradise that has captured the hearts of so many,” said Carol Hoeller, Vice President of Hotel Indigo.

Hotel Indigo is one of IHG’s premium brands. It is known for drawing inspiration from local neighborhoods through design, food, and amenities. This marks Hotel Indigo’s third Mexico property, after Hotel Indigo Guanajuato and Hotel Indigo Guadalajara Expo.

How to Book Hotel Indigo La Paz Puerta Cortés

Hotel Indigo La Paz Puerta Cortés is now open for guests. Like most other IHG properties, it participates in the  IHG One Rewards program, so you can earn and redeem points at the hotel.

Cash rates are reasonably priced for the area, starting at around $250 per night for a king room. Award nights start at around 48,000 points per night for dates this spring. IHG doesn’t use an award chart, meaning that award nights can be higher or lower depending on various factors.

Hot Tip:

Earning IHG One Rewards points is easy, as you can transfer Bilt Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards or earn points through a welcome bonus or daily spending on some of the best cards for IHG loyalists.

Final Thoughts

This is an exciting opening, as it’s IHG’s first Hotel Indigo property in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. Award and cash rates are moderately priced, making this hotel an excellent choice if you’re in the region!
