February started on a strong note in the hotel industry. High-end hotels are opening in Shanghai and Vietnam, plus there are new projects coming to Doha, Louisville, Kentucky, and others.

New Hotel Openings

Andaz Shanghai ITC, China

Andaz Shanghai ITC features 267 rooms and suites, many with outdoor terraces. Amenities include 3 restaurants and bars, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.

Cash rates start at $270 per night. As a Category 5 World of Hyatt hotel, award rates start at 17,000 points per night.

Fairmont Hanoi, Vietnam

Accor has opened its first Fairmont in Vietnam, with the Fairmont Hanoi. The hotel offers 241 guest rooms, including 38 Fairmont Gold rooms (which include lounge access) and 12 suites.

Amenities include 8 bars and restaurants, a 38,000-square-foot wellness facility, a spa, and a ballroom. Rates start at $296 nightly, while every 2,000 ALL – Accor Live Limitless points can cover €40 (roughly $47) of your bill. 

The Anthem Los Angeles Stadium District, Tapestry by Hilton, California

The Anthem Los Angeles Stadium District, Tapestry by Hilton features 179 guest rooms and suites. Amenities include a pool and pool bar, a rooftop, a restaurant, and a fitness center.

The hotel is a short distance from venues including the Intuit Dome, SoFi Stadium, Kia Forum, YouTube Theater, and more. Cash rates start at $141 per night, while awards start at 48,000 Hilton Honors points nightly.

Kimpton Al Rowda Doha, Qatar (Mid-2026)

Kimpton Al Rowda Doha is scheduled to open later this year. With 283 guest rooms, suites, and apartments, the luxury lifestyle hotel will feature 5 dining and lounge venues, including a rooftop bar.

JW Marriott Louisville, Kentucky (2027)

A JW Marriott is coming to Downtown Louisville next year, the second in the Bluegrass State. The hotel will feature 418 guest rooms and suites, 5 restaurants, a rooftop bar, a fitness center, and more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space.

Hilton Continues Growth in Türkiye

Hilton has inked deals for 5 properties across 4 brands in Türkiye, scheduled to open between this spring and 2028:  

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Maçka(April 2026): 109 rooms and suites, plus amenities such as a lobby lounge, a rooftop restaurant and bar area, and a fitness center. 
  • Gist Istanbul, Tapestry Collection by Hilton (2027): 46 rooms and amenities like a restaurant, rooftop bar, and a fitness center.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Kocaeli Dilovasi (2027): 104 rooms, a restaurant and bar, indoor pool, gym, and Turkish hammam.
  • Hotel Istanbul Sisli, Tapestry Collection by Hilton (2028): 48 rooms, plus a restaurant and fitness center.
  • Hilton Antalya City Centre (2028): 254 rooms and suites, plus amenities including a grand ballroom, meeting rooms, a spa and wellness center, indoor and rooftop pools, and several dining options. 

IHG Growing Voco, Garner Brands in the United Kingdom

IHG is expanding its premium and midscale portfolio in the United Kingdom, with the signing of 4 voco and Garner hotels. Here’s a quick look at each:

Andaz Vienna Converts To Hyatt Regency

The Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere is rebranding as Hyatt Regency Vienna, effective April 13, 2026. The hotel will remain open during the transition and will retain its World of Hyatt Category 3 status for using Hyatt points.

Final Thoughts

It was another busy week in the hotel industry. Exciting projects debuted in Shanghai, Los Angeles, and Vietnam. We’re also incredibly excited about the opening of a new JW Marriott hotel in Downtown Louisville, a Kimpton hotel in Doha, and Hilton’s continued expansion in Türkiye.
