This was another busy week in the hotel world. A handful of hotels have opened in several exciting destinations, including Playa del Carmen, Mexico; the suburbs of Paris; and Abu Dhabi. Plus, we have the scoop on upcoming projects in the Caribbean, Greece, and Italy.

New Hotel Openings

Hotel Indigo Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Hotel Indigo Playa del Carmen features 83 guest rooms, most with private terraces or balconies, and some offering ocean views.

Amenities include an on-site restaurant, rooftop pool, hot tub, fitness center, and lounge. Cash rates start at $116 per night, while awards start at 20,000 IHG One Rewards points nightly.

Aparthotel Adagio Access Paris Nanterre La Défense, France

Accor has opened a new apartment-style hotel near Paris. Aparthotel Adagio Access Paris Nanterre La Défense features 132 studios, all with kitchens and air conditioning. Amenities include parking, a fitness center, a bar, and a buffet breakfast.

Rates start at $150 nightly, and every 2,000 ALL – Accor Live Limitless Reward points can cover €40 (roughly $47) of your bill.

Aldhafra Resort, Vignette Collection, United Arab Emirates

Aldhafra Resort, Vignette Collection, features 105 guest rooms and suites.

This family-friendly desert resort outside of Abu Dhabi features 3 dining options, a kids club, a spa, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center. Rates start at $120 or 24,000 IHG One Rewards points per night.

Each reservation includes 2 complimentary activities, such as camel trekking, henna art, or a falcon show. 

Upcoming Hotels

Aulus Lindos Rhodes Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, Greece (April 2026)

Aulus Lindos Rhodes Resort has joined the Curio Collection by Hilton. The all-inclusive resort features 186 guest rooms and suites, 6 restaurants and bars, a spa, a kids club, a private beach, a fitness center, and more.

The hotel is closed for the season and will reopen on April 29, 2026. Cash rates start at $320 nightly, and you can expect to pay 80,000 Hilton Honors points for a standard room reward.

Nobu Beach Inn, Barbuda (Late 2026)

Nobu Beach Inn will open later this year, as part of The Beach Club, Barbuda, a “low-density resort” on the small island of Barbuda in the Caribbean. The resort will feature 36 bedrooms, along with amenities such as a beach club, an oceanfront pool, a spa, a kids club, a cinema, and several dining options.

Conrad Meia Praia Algarve, Portugal (2027)

Conrad Meia Praia Algarve is expected to open next spring. The resort will have 116 guest rooms and suites, including some with private plunge pools. Amenities will include several restaurants and bars, a beach club, swimming pools, a spa, and a fitness center.

Ruby Milan, Italy (2028)

IHG’s new Ruby Hotels brand is opening an outpost in Milan in 2028. Ruby Milan will offer 128 guest rooms, a restaurant, a terrace, and several public areas. This will be the third Ruby property in Italy, after hotels in Florence and Rome.

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi Reopening in April

The ultra-luxe Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi is slated to reopen this spring. The hotel got a sweeping update, with redesigned guest rooms and suites, and public spaces. You can expect to pay around $1,400 per night for a stay here.

Part of Grand Hyatt Incheon Airport Reflagged

The west tower of the Grand Hyatt Incheon Airport will be rebranded as Hyatt Regency Incheon Paradise City, as of March 9, 2026. The east tower of the hotel will continue to operate as Grand Hyatt Incheon.

While the chain says booking details are unchanged, it remains to be seen whether both hotels will operate as Category 3 World of Hyatt properties, as the Grand Hyatt Incheon currently does.

Final Thoughts

It was a busy week in the hotel industry, with a mix of high-end and affordable hotels opening across the globe. For beachgoers, a new Hotel Indigo opened in Playa del Carmen, while Paris lovers have an affordable extended-stay option just outside the city.
