2026 got off to a strong start in the hotel industry, as several hotels opened in Bali, New York’s Long Island City, and other locations. And while the year is just starting, we already have details on exciting openings coming to Ghana, Croatia, and Thailand later this year.

Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, Indonesia

Located amid the rice fields and forests of Bali’s Ubud, the resort offers a secluded retreat to unwind. Amenities include 2 swimming pools, a spa, and a fitness center. EVEN Hotel Long Island City – New York, New York

IHG recently opened a new points hotel in New York, and it’s incredibly affordable. EVEN Hotel Long Island City – New York is in Queens, near the Queensboro Bridge and the Queensboro Plaza Subway Station, making it easy to reach Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond.

The hotel features 61 guest rooms, along with various amenities, including a restaurant, rooftop patio, 24/7 market, fitness center, and in-room fitness equipment.

Hyatt Regency Nha Trang, Vietnam

The beachfront Hyatt Regency Nha Trang has officially opened its doors to guests. Each of the hotel’s 434 guest rooms and suites offers ocean views along with in-room amenities such as rainfall showers and smart technology. Amenities include a restaurant serving traditional Vietnamese cuisine and Italian cuisine, a lounge, a pool bar, a spa, and the Regency Club lounge.

Hyatt Regency Nha Trang is located along Tran Phu Street, one of the city’s most popular streets, with numerous art galleries, shops, and restaurants. The hotel is located just 40 minutes from Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR).

Tempo by Hilton Manassas, Virginia

The 92-room Tempo by Hilton Manassas has opened in Northern Virginia. This hotel is best suited for those who want to be near the many live music venues in the area. It is located on the NOVA Live campus, an event venue, while the Hylton Performing Arts Center and Jiffy Lube Live are a short drive away.

Amenities include communal work and collaboration spaces, a 24/7 fitness center, a cafe serving coffee and light snacks, and a speakeasy-style bar serving evening cocktails. Tempo by Hilton Manassas is located minutes from Old Town Manassas and is approximately 50 minutes from Washington, D.C.

Upcoming Hotels

Tempo by Hilton Nashville Midtown, Tennessee (March 2026)

Hilton is bringing a second Tempo hotel to Nashville, scheduled to open for guests on March 9, 2026. Tempo by Hilton Nashville Midtown will offer 161 guest rooms and will include amenities such as on-site dining, meeting spaces, a fitness center, and pet-friendly accommodations

Rates start at around $140 per night or 49,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Chalong Bay Resort, Thailand (June 2026)

The Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Chalong Bay Resort is now accepting reservations, starting from June 1, 2026.

The resort will feature a whopping 280 guest rooms, all equipped with private balconies. Amenities will include 2 swimming pools, a fitness center, a kids club, a swim-up bar, a bakery, and an all-day restaurant serving European and Thai cuisine. Located on the southeast coast of Phuket, the resort will be close to attractions such as the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong, as well as Chalong Pier, a popular departure point for other islands, including Phi Phi. 

Rates start at $93 or 20,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.

Sealeven Hotel & Residences, Croatia (September 2026)

Sealeven Hotel & Residences is gearing up for a September 2026 opening. Located in Opatija, a Croatian coastal town on the Adriatic Sea, the hotel will have 85 apartments and studios catering to both long-term residents and short-term guests. 

Amenities include a surf-and-turf cuisine restaurant, a pool bar, electric vehicle charging, a spa, and a fitness center. Cash rates start around $320 per night. As a World of Hyatt Category 5 hotel, award rates range from 17,000 to 23,000 points per night, depending on dates. 

Hilton Accra Cantonments, Ghana (2026)

Hilton is officially planting its flag in Ghana with the upcoming Hilton Accra Cantonments. Located in Accra’s most posh neighborhood, the hotel will have 145 guest rooms, plus amenities such as an all-day restaurant and pool bar, a spa, a gym, a ballroom, and an outdoor pool.

The hotel will cater to tourists, diplomats, and business professionals alike, as it sits minutes from the embassies of the United States and France. Additionally, Kotoka International Airport (ACC) is just 3 miles away.

Hilton Accra Cantonments is scheduled to open in 2026, although an exact date has not been announced.

Marriott Wants To Open a New JW Marriott Hotel in San Antonio

Marriott has plans to convert an office tower in downtown San Antonio into a JW Marriott hotel, according to local news station KSAT.com. While the project is still in the proposal stage, it is anticipated to feature 300 guest rooms, parking, a rooftop pool, and other amenities.

If approved, it would be the second JW Marriott hotel in the city, after the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.

Final Thoughts

Several hotel chains have opened new hotels worldwide, such as a jungle resort in Bali and a beachfront hotel in Vietnam. There are also a handful of projects we’re excited about later this year, such as Hilton’s debut in Ghana and the opening of a luxury Courtyard by Marriott resort in Phuket.
