Kimpton Is Coming to Bali, More Marriott All-Inclusives on the Way, and Other Hotel News

A busy week of hotel news saw a focus on Asia, with Kimpton announcing a new property in Bali and opening a wellness-focused retreat in Shanghai. Elsewhere, Radisson opened a very reasonably priced resort in Thailand and Hyatt’s Me and All Hotel brand expanded further in Germany.

Here’s a summary of the hotel industry news you may have missed.

New Openings

Me and All Hotel Leipzig

Hyatt has announced the opening of the eighth Me and All Hotel in Germany and the ninth in Europe. Me and All Hotel Leipzig features 282 guest rooms in a building inspired by the iconic Bauhaus movement. The property is ideally located near major attractions, including the city’s Old Town, Leipzig Market Square, St. Thomas Church, Gewandhaus concert hall, and Leipzig Central Station.

This is a Category 2 World of Hyatt property, meaning award nights start at 6,000 points per night. Cash rates start at €76 (~$86) per night.

Radisson Resort Layan Phuket

The Radisson Resort Layan Phuket is now open in a prime position between Sirinat National Park and Layan Beach on one of Thailand’s most popular islands. This 300-room resort offers guests a peaceful oasis while being close to all the action, including Laguna Phuket, Boat Avenue, Porto de Phuket, golf courses, beach clubs, and even Phuket International Airport (HKT).

Rates start from just $60 per night.

Kimpton Nine Trees Shanghai

IHG’s popular Kimpton brand has opened its second property in Shanghai, China. Kimpton Nine Trees Shanghai is located in the city’s Fengxian district, “a livable eco-district … surrounded by expansive woodlands and lush urban greenery.” The 229-room property emphasizes wellness, with a dedicated facility boasting holistic treatment rooms, an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor plunge pool, a 24-hour gym, and more.

Rates start from $132 per night or 20,000 IHG One Rewards points per night.

Upcoming Hotels

Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud

IHG has shared that the Kimpton brand will open in Bali later this year. The Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud will be located in the center of one of the world’s most desirable destinations and offer guests close proximity to important sights such as the Ubud Art Market, the Ubud Palace, and the Water Palace.

Marriott Expands All-Inclusive Portfolio in Tanzania and Jamaica

Marriott has signed an agreement to expand its all-inclusive offerings to Tanzania and Jamaica. Coming in 2027, the property in Tanzania will join the Autograph Collection and offer guests an all-inclusive stay in Zanzibar, the country’s island hotspot. It will be a new-build hotel featuring 271 rooms and a focus on wellness.

Then in 2028, the so-called Marriott All-Inclusive Resort (it’s very likely that name will change) will open in Montego Bay, Jamaica, after the world’s largest hotel chain completes a full renovation of the former Catalonia Montego Bay hotel. It’s slated to offer a whopping 522 rooms and will have multiple pools, restaurants, tennis and pickleball courts, and more.

Hilton Honors Will Welcome Its First YOTEL Property on August 8

Hilton announced a deal with YOTEL hotels earlier this year, and now we know when the first one will finally join the Hilton Honors program. YOTEL Miami will join the loyalty program on August 8, 2026, followed by YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit on December 1, 2026. Hilton hasn’t shared a timeline for the remaining YOTEL properties yet.

It’s worth noting, too, that Hilton Honors members only earn 5 points per $1 spent at YOTEL properties, though if you have Hilton Honors elite status, that rate will be higher.

Marriott Partners With Inter Miami CF

Marriott has been named a lead sponsor for the Inter Miami CF football club and Miami Freedom Park, in addition to being a Founding Partner of Miami Freedom Park. This marks the hotel giant’s first partnership with an MLS team, and members can now redeem Marriott Bonvoy points for Inter Miami CF-centric experiences through the Marriott Bonvoy Moments platform.
