We saw another flurry of hotel signings and openings this week, from new properties opening in India and St. Louis to several hotels and resorts signed across the globe.

Hotel Openings

Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa, India

Located within Jim Corbett National Park and along the river Kos, ​​Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa recently opened for guests in northern India. The resort offers 99 guest rooms and suites with Malani Range and Kosi River views. You’ll be surrounded by wildlife, such as Bengal tigers, leopards, and wild elephants. You’ll have your pick of dining here, as the resort offers an all-day dining restaurant, a grill, a lobby bar, and an indoor-outdoor bar.

The family-friendly resort has a kids club — which is a nature-inspired playground — an entertainment center, an arcade, a golf simulator, and board games. Other amenities include a spa with 6 treatment rooms, a pool, a fitness center, meeting spaces, and more.

Angad Arts Hotel St. Louis, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Missouri

A new Tapestry Collection has opened in St. Louis, and it has an interesting designation. Angad Arts Hotel St. Louis, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is the world’s only hotel where guests can reserve a room “based on the emotion of color,” Hilton says.

Angad Arts Hotel is known for being St. Louis’ original art hotel, and the hotel got refreshes to its guest rooms, check-in desks, and fitness center when it joined Hilton. The first floor is home to art exhibits, while a restaurant and rooftop bar occupy the top floors.

Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh, Scotland (2025)

The 195-room Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh will mark the Garner brand’s debut in Scotland. Garner Hotels are known to be simple in design and amenities and there’s no exception here. You’ll find amenities for travelers on the go, such as a bar and to-go cafe.

The hotel will open in the second half of 2025, though an exact opening date isn’t listed.

Costa Irminia Retreat & Spa, Vignette Collection, Italy (2026)

Another interesting signing from IHG, this time in Italy. The 43-room Costa Irminia Retreat & Spa, Vignette Collection, is coming to the IHG portfolio in Marina di Ragusa, Sicily. The hotel will be a true retreat, offering a private beach club with direct beach access, 2 swimming pools, a bar, and an all-day restaurant.

Like the Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh, Costa Irminia Retreat & Spa is expected to open in the second half of 2025.

Hotel Bellevue Cortina d’Ampezzo, Emblems Collection, Italy (2026)

Another hotel chain is investing in Italy. Accor has announced that the Hotel Bellevue Cortina d’Ampezzo, Emblems Collection will open at the end of 2026. This will be the first Emblems Collection hotel to open in Italy. The hotel will offer 80 guest rooms and suites, a spa, an indoor and outdoor pool, and several dining options.

JW Marriott All-Inclusive Resort, Costa Rica (2026)

Several major hotel brands have planted their flags in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica, and JW Marriott wants its share of the pie. Marriott has announced plans for the JW Marriott All-Inclusive Resort, Costa Rica, which is expected to become one of the first all-inclusive properties for the brand.

The resort has some amazing stats: It will have 415 guest rooms and suites, 11 food and beverage outlets, a whopping 17 swimming pools, a 16,000-square-foot spa, and a fitness center.

This property will likely be the most anticipated resort in the region, and you won’t have to wait too long to stay here. Scheduled to begin its conversion in July, the hotel will officially reopen as a JW Marriott in 2026.

Tempo by Hilton Belfast City Centre, Ireland (2026)

The 144-room Tempo by Hilton Belfast City Centre is expected to open next year. This will be the first Tempo brand to open outside of the U.S. The hotel will feature a fitness center, food and beverage options, and a central location to all Belfast has to offer.

Mama Shelter Toulon, France (2027)

Mama Shelter is expanding again in Europe, this time in Toulon, a city on the French Riveria. The hotel will offer 100 guest rooms, some with private terraces. Amenities include a restaurant and bar, a terrace, and meeting spaces. The hotel will open for guests in late 2027.

Raffles Lake Como, Italy (2027)

The high-end Raffles brand from Accor is planning its first resort in Italy. Raffles Lake Como, opening in late 2027, will have 84 rooms, which include 18 suites and 2 villas. Like other Raffles resorts, this one will be ultra-luxe. It will feature a spa and fitness center, several pools, a beach club, private lake access, and several high-end dining options.

Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country, Texas (2027)

The announcement of a Waldorf Astoria coming to Texas’ Hill Country took many people by surprise. But if you understand Hilton’s history, it makes sense: Founder Conrad Hilton’s legacy in the hotel industry began in the Lone Star State.

The Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country will boast 60 guest rooms and suites, 37 branded villas, and a handful of residences. It will have 5 dining options, a sweeping 11,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, 2 pools, and more. The resort, located less than a mile from downtown Fredericksburg, will be set amidst Texas’ popular wine country. The Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country will officially open for guests in 2027.

InterContinental Returns to Cambodia With Signing in Sihanoukville

IHG is making its way back to Cambodia. It has signed a deal for InterContinental Sihanoukville in the coastal Cambodian city. The 300-room hotel will open in 2028 and will feature several restaurants and bars and a spa. The hotel will be located 30 minutes from Sihanoukville International Airport (KOS). 

IHG Inks Deals for Vignette Collection and Kimpton Hotels in Portugal

Some more exciting news from IHG. The hotel has inked deals for 2 dual properties in Portugal: Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection and Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais. With more than 300 rooms total, the 2 properties are located in the tourist destination of Cascais. 

Here’s what to know about each hotel:

  • Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection: The 111-room hotel will have 2 restaurants, a bar, and 10 event spaces. Other amenities include outdoor pools, a tennis and padel club, a horse riding center, a hunting lodge, and a spa.
  • Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais: This hotel will have 198 guest rooms and suites. Amenities include restaurants and 2 bars, an indoor and outdoor pool, and an 18-hole golf course. The family-friendly resort will feature a kids pool and a kids club. For the adults, the resort will offer a spa with massage rooms, a sauna, and more.

IHG says the properties are expected to open “between this and next year.”

It was another exciting week in the hotel industry, with several exciting hotels announced — from a resort set in a national park in India to an ultra-luxe resort coming to the Texas Hill Country.
