It was another busy week across the hotel industry, with several exciting openings from Ennismore, Marriott, Hilton, and other brands. We’ve also got some details about some exciting hotels scheduled to open in Aruba and even in Belarus.

Hotel Openings

25hours Hotel The Olympia, Australia

Ennismore’s 25hours brand has debuted in Australia with the opening of 25hours Hotel The Olympia in Sydney.

With 109 guest rooms, the hotel offers 4 dining options: a restaurant that blends Southern European, North African, and Levantine cuisines, a bar, a café, and a rooftop bar with panoramic views. Other amenities include bike rentals and a gift shop.

AC Hotel St. Augustine, Florida

AC Hotel St. Augustine has opened in the historic city of St. Augustine, Florida. The 142-room hotel features amenities like the signature AC Lounge & Kitchen, a fitness center, an outdoor lounge pool, and 1,500 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.

The hotel is situated along the San Sebastian River and is close to the city’s top attractions, including the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and Flagler College.

Holiday Inn & Suites Sapporo Odori Park, Japan

IHG has opened the 195-room Holiday Inn & Suites Sapporo Odori Park. For a Holiday Inn, the hotel is quite fancy, offering amenities like a café and bar, a restaurant (where kids 12 and under eat free), a traditional Japanese communal bath, a sauna, and a fitness center offering city views.

The George at Columbia Harlem, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, New York

It appears that Hilton has moved up the opening date for its first hotel in Harlem, New York, as it’s now open. The George at Columbia, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, has opened with 139 guest rooms.

The hotel is located near Columbia University and the Apollo Theater and features amenities like a fitness center, an outdoor heated pool, a bar, and a restaurant serving soul food — a Harlem staple.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pittsfield-Lenox-Berkshires, Massachusetts

There aren’t many points hotels in Massachusetts’ Berkshires, so we were excited to see the opening of Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pittsfield-Lenox-Berkshires by IHG.

The hotel features 81 guest rooms, along with amenities such as a fitness center, indoor pool, hot tub, 1,200-square-foot event space, and complimentary hot breakfast.

Upcoming Hotels

Candlewood Suites Reykjavik, Iceland (November 2025)

Candlewood Suites Reykjavik is set to open in November. The hotel will feature 53 apartment-style rooms, each equipped with a kitchenette that includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and additional amenities. The hotel also offers a self-service laundry room, a coworking space, and pet-friendly accommodations. Keflavik International Airport (KEF) is a 45-minute drive away.

Rates start at $218 per night; however, award nights are not yet available for booking.

The Westerly at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort, Aruba (2026)

This week, Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino announced that reservations were now open for The Westerly, the resort’s new oceanfront tower. The Westerly, which is billed as a boutique counterpart to the larger resort, is set to open early next year with 161 guest rooms and suites. There are several room types, including adults-only swim-up rooms and rooms with oceanfront balconies. 

Aside from the amenities at Hilton Aruba, The Westerly offers an exclusive, adults-only terrace with cabanas, live entertainment, and more. Rates start at $165 per night or 43,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

The Waldorf Astoria Minsk, Belarus (2026)

The ultra-luxe Waldorf Astoria brand is planting its flag in Belarus with a new hotel in Minsk opening next March. The Waldorf Astoria Minsk will have 192 guest rooms and suites. Like other Waldorf Astoria properties, the hotel is sparing no expense. It will offer several restaurants and bars, plus amenities like a nightclub, a casino, a spa and beauty salon, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.

Rates start at $407 per night or 60,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

Signia by Hilton Savannah, Georgia (2028)

Hilton broke grown on a new Signia hotel in Savannah, Georgia, this week. Signia by Hilton Savannah is expected to open in mid-2028, boasting 444 guest rooms. 

The hotel will feature 34,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces, 5 food and beverage options, an outdoor pool, and Club Signia, an exclusive hotel lounge.

Hilton Planning Expansion in Vietnam

Hilton announced a massive expansion in Vietnam this week, with plans to bring 5 hotels — spanning 1,800 rooms — to the country.

The move will bring Conrad Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree by Hilton to Vietnam, expanding the hotel chain’s portfolio. Here’s a look at what’s in the pipeline:

  • LXR Hotels & Resorts Da Nang Riverside: This 80-room resort marks LXR’s entry into Vietnam and will be located along Đảo Xanh, an island within the Han River.
  • Conrad Phu Quoc, Hilton Phu Quoc, and DoubleTree by Hilton Phu Quoc: The 3 hotels are being designed for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in 2027 and will have 1,500 guest rooms between them.
  • Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort: This resort, scheduled to open before the end of 2025, will feature 216 rooms and villas. Amenities will include public mineral baths, sauna rooms, private onsens, and a spa, promising a truly unique wellness experience.

Final Thoughts

It’s continuing to be a strong month across the hotel industry. We saw several high-end hotels opening in Sydney, Harlem, and Sapporo, Japan, as well as an affordable points option opening in the Berkshires. There are also exciting openings on the horizon, such as the first Waldorf Astoria hotel in Belarus and a Signia hotel coming to Georgia’s Low Country.
