It was another busy week in the hotel industry. Several exciting new hotels have opened in New York City, Berlin, Hamburg, and Melbourne, Australia. We’ve also got the scoop on projects in the pipeline, covering destinations like Abu Dhabi, Japan, and more.

Hotel Openings

Faena New York, New York

At long last, Faena New York has officially opened to guests on New York’s High Line in the Meatpacking District. There’s a long and intriguing backstory to the hotel: It was initially supposed to become a Six Senses, Faena New York. Accor acquired the development in 2022 and announced plans then for it to become a Faena.

Faena New York features 120 guest rooms and suites. Amenities include several food and beverage options, a 12,000-square-foot spa with a hammam, 5 water pools, 11 treatment rooms, an infrared sauna, fitness studios, and a theater, which opens next year.

The ArcadiaPlace, Lugu Lake, a Member of Design Hotels, China

The ArcadiaPlace, Lugu Lake, a Member of Design Hotels, has opened in China’s Hengduan Mountains. Boasting just 60 guest rooms and suites, as well as 3 ultra-private treehouses, the boutique hotel features a spa, a rooftop infinity pool, 2 restaurants, and a first for China: a museum dedicated to women artists.

Me and All Hotel Berlin East Side, Germany

Hyatt is expanding its brand presence in Germany with the opening of the 227-room Me and All Hotel Berlin East Side. Amenities include a coworking space, a bar, and an all-day fitness center.

Located on the banks of the Spree River, Me and All Hotel Berlin East Side is a short distance from several cultural attractions such as museums, theaters, operas, and the Berlin Wall.

Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, United Kingdom

Hilton Hotels has officially added the United Kingdom’s Dover Marina Hotel & Spa to its portfolio after a multi-million-dollar renovation.

Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton features 122 renovated guest rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a spa with 7 treatment rooms, and a gym.

Conrad Hamburg, Germany

The ultra-luxury Conrad brand has planted its flag in Germany, with the debut of Conrad Hamburg.

The hotel features 283 guest rooms and suites, many offering floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city. Amenities include 2 restaurants, a fitness center, a spa, an indoor pool, and a sauna.

Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn in Melbourne, Australia

Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins and Holiday Inn Melbourne Bourke Street Mall mark IHG’s first dual-branded hotel in Australia.

Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins offers 179 guest rooms and suites, while the Holiday Inn Melbourne Bourke Street Mall features 273 guest rooms. Amenities between the 2 hotels include a restaurant, an outdoor garden, and a private terrace event space.

Radisson RED London Twickenham, United Kingdom

Radisson RED London Twickenham has opened in the United Kingdom with an interesting distinction: It’s the first Radisson RED property to open at a sports stadium.

The 150-room hotel is located on the southern end of the Allianz Stadium, home to England’s national rugby union team. Amenities include a restaurant, a bar, and access to a fitness center with a pool.

Aloft Istanbul Karaköy, Türkiye

Aloft Istanbul Karaköy offers 107 loft-style guest rooms and suites, and it’s the brand’s second property in Türkiye.

Upcoming Hotels

The Red Sea EDITION, Saudi Arabia (October 2025)

Saudi Arabia is rapidly growing its Red Sea project, with several luxury resorts opening across the region. A new resort, the Red Sea EDITION, is opening in the coming weeks. 

The resort features 240 guest rooms and suites (with views of the Red Sea or Shura Island), along with amenities such as a spa, several dining destinations, a pool, and more. Rates start at $495 or 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.

Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi, Hilton LXR, United Arab Emirates (December 2025)

Hilton will open an LXR property in Abu Dhabi this winter. Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi, Hilton LXR, was initially supposed to be the Waldorf Astoria Abu Dhabi, but it seems those plans have been scrapped. Located along Mangrove Marine National Park’s lagoons, the new LXR resort will have 167 guest rooms and suites, a spa, a fitness center, dining options, a pool, and more

The hotel will open for guests in December but isn’t accepting reservations yet.

The George at Columbia, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, New York (January 2026)

Hilton will ring in 2026 with an exciting hotel in Harlem, New York. 

The George at Columbia, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will open for guests on January 1, 2026, marking the brand’s debut in Harlem. The 139-room hotel will be located near Columbia University and the Apollo Theater and will feature a fitness center and an outdoor heated pool. Rates start at $120 per night or 41,000 Hilton Honors points.

Regent Karuizawa, Japan (2028)

IHG’s ultra-luxe Regent brand is opening its first resort hotel in Japan later this decade. Regent Karuizawa will be a new-construction onsen retreat with 58 guest rooms and villas. Amenities will include several dining options, meeting spaces, a signature spa and onsen, and a gym.

The St. Regis Karya Cove Resort, Bodrum, Türkiye (2030)

Marriott announced this week that it had inked a deal for The St. Regis Karya Cove Resort, located in Bodrum, Türkiye. The resort, scheduled to open in 2030, will offer 138 guest rooms, along with amenities like an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a kids club, and a spa.

Fairfield by Marriott Hits 150 Open and Pipeline Hotels in China

Marriott recently announced that it had reached a milestone of its midscale Fairfield by Marriott brand: 150 open and pipeline hotels in Greater China. Today, Fairfield by Marriott has expanded to 50 destinations in Greater China since its debut in the country in 2017. Upcoming projects include properties in Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen.

Final Thoughts

It was a busier-than-usual week in the hotel industry, with several high-end hotels opening in New York City, Germany, and the United Kingdom. There are also some exciting hotels opening soon, such as a Tapestry Collection coming to Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood and an EDITION hotel opening in Saudi Arabia.
