It was another busy week in the hotel industry, with several announcements for new properties worldwide, Michelin Keys being awarded to dozens of notable properties, high-profile rebrands, and more.

Here’s everything you need to know from this week.

Hotel Openings

@HOME by Best Western McDonough

BWH Hotels has opened the @HOME by Best Western McDonough along the busy I-75 corridor in metro Atlanta. The all-new property brings 128 apartment-style extended-stay accommodations to the area, suitable for business and leisure travelers alike, and marks the brand’s debut in the Southeast.

Guest rooms feature kitchens and dedicated workspaces, and guests can take advantage of a lobby market, on-site laundry, a fitness center, and even storage facilities.

Rooms start from around $85 or 18,000 Best Western Rewards points per night.

2 New IHG Hotels Coming to Malaysia

IHG Hotels & Resorts will bring 2 new properties to Malaysia. First, it will debut the Garner brand in the country with the opening of the Garner Hotel Kota Kinabalu after converting the existing King Park Hotel Kota Kinabalu. The first phase of the property will bring 106 rooms in 2027, followed by a further 96 rooms in a second phase in 2028.

In 2028, IHG will complete a conversion of the existing King Park Hotel Tawau and open the Holiday Inn Express Tawau. The property will have 140 rooms and will become the chain’s first hotel in Tawau.

IHG’s Noted Collection Brand Will Debut in Jordan

IHG has signed an agreement with Jordan’s Al Ameed Coffee to open a coffee-centric Noted Collection property in the nation’s capital, Amman. The property will have just 50 rooms and will embrace the country’s rich coffee culture.

The hotel will boast a “coffee reserve and experience center,” and guests will find homages to coffee history, creating the perfect cup, and rituals surrounding its consumption.

NoMad Singapore Now Accepting Reservations

Hilton’s high-end NoMad brand is opening soon in Singapore, and you can book a room for December 1, 2026, and beyond. Cash rates start at $404 per night, but NoMad Singapore will participate in the Hilton Honors program, meaning members can earn and redeem Hilton Honors points for stays. Award nights start at 100,000 points.

Hilton also might be launching a new elite tier called Black Diamond.

High-Profile Rebrands

Santorini Sky Joins Hilton’s SLH Brand

Santorini Sky, an SLH Hotel, situated at the highest point of the ever-popular Cycladic island in Greece, has entered into a partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), and is now available to book through Hilton channels, meaning Honors members can redeem points for a stay.

Set almost 2,000 feet above the Aegean Sea, the property provides stunning views. Its villas have indoor/outdoor layouts with private heated pools or Jacuzzis. Guests can also enjoy the Sky Lounge, which offers food and beverages with incredible vistas of the island and sea below.

Rooms start at $168 per night in the offseason, but expect to pay $500 or more during the summer. Award nights start at 51,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

New York’s Ink 48 Hotel To Join Accor

The Ink 48 hotel in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood is poised to join Accor under the chain’s MGallery brand in 2028, as reported by The Points Guy. Accor plans a significant renovation of the property’s 222 rooms and suites, which are set to remain open during the transition.

Highlights of Michelin Key Awards 2026

The Michelin Guide has awarded dozens of hotels around the world with its coveted Keys. These recognize outstanding hotels on a scale of 1 to 3 Keys.

A whopping 51 IHG properties across 4 different brands made the list, including the Regent Santa Monica Beach in California, earning 1 Key. One U.S. Rosewood property — Kona Village, a Rosewood Resort — earned an impressive 3 Keys, and the Fontainebleau Las Vegas retained the 1 Key it was awarded last year.
