Universal likes to keep its projects under wraps for as long as possible, but I guess they couldn’t even keep their excitement to themselves with the latest news from Universal Epic Universe.

Slated to open in 2025, we now have details of one of the 5 new worlds coming to Orlando: How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

Universal Epic Universe Orlando

Earlier this year, Universal gave us a pretty good idea of what the new Universal Epic Universe would look like in broad strokes.

Guests will pass through Celestial Park before entering one of the other 4 immersive worlds, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

Based on the popular film franchise How to Train Your Dragon, guests will be immersed in an eighth-century Viking village where Vikings and fire-breathing dragons exist together in harmony.

“As is seen in the films, our first view of the Isle of Berk is through the Viking and dragon sentry statues with a view of rocky cliffs, dragon houses and mountains in the background. You will be struck by the scale of the world and the vibrancy. We consider the world an attraction itself; the goal was always to make Berk alive and create a very vibrant and lively land where Vikings and dragons live in harmony.”

Katy Pacitti, Executive Producer

This new world will feature 5 attractions, meet and greets, and some epic food. And yes, you will be able to meet Toothless!

Hiccup’s Wing Gliders

Thrill ride fans should be looking forward to Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.

Hiccup’s Wing Gliders rollercoaster will have a minimum height requirement of 40″, and children under 48″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.

Dragon Racer’s Rally

Get ready to dive into the sport of dragon racing at Dragon Racer’s Rally.

This spinning, acrobatic thrill ride is not for those with weak stomachs. Berk’s newest Vikings will practice high-flying barrel rolls while twisting and turning at every angle.

Dragon Racer’s Ralley will have a minimum height requirement of 48″.

Fyre Drill

If you are looking for a family-friendly (and wet) water ride, you will love Fyre Drill.

This interactive boat battle was created when Viking twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut transformed Berk’s Fyre Skööl into a lagoon where guests try to hit the more than 130 moving targets with your water cannons…including guests in other boats!

Fyre Drill has no height requirement, but children under 48″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion and hand-held infants are not allowed.

The Untrainable Dragon

There is nothing like a good theme park show, and that is what is expected with The Untrainable Dragon.
