Ennismore is bringing its high-end Hoxton brand to Oslo, making it the first property of its kind in Scandinavia.

Here’s what you need to know.

The Hoxton is Coming to Oslo

The Hoxton, Oslo, will have 144 guest rooms, plus what it is calling The Apartment. Amenities include 3 food and beverage options: an all-day dining destination, a restaurant and a cocktail bar. Additionally, more than 1,800 square feet of meeting and event space is planned.

The project is part of a larger plan to expand Oslo’s government quarter. Plans for the neighborhood include an expansion of a park and updates to a public library that will add a museum, bars, and dining outlets. The hotel is expected to open for guests in 2027.

“In recent years, we’ve witnessed a shift among Norwegians as they bring home the hotel habits acquired during their travels abroad,” said Anders Buchardt of AB Invest. “They are looking for great food, a unique atmosphere, and a memorable experience.”

If you aren’t familiar, Hoxton hotels are known for engaging in the culture and community and being inspired by the diversity of their cities.

Ennismore has more than a dozen Hoxton hotels worldwide, including in Vienna and Amsterdam. Seven more are in the pipeline, including in Edinburgh.

This has been an exciting few days for Ennismore, which falls under the ALL – Accor Live Limitless program. The brand recently announced that it would begin a “strategic partnership” with the boutique Our Habitas chain. That partnership will see a handful of hotels join Ennismore, such as the Our Habitas AlUla in Saudi Arabia.

About Ennismore

Ennismore is a worldwide collection of hotels, restaurants, bars, and lounges. You’ve probably stayed in an Ennismore property without realizing it — the chain has brands such as Hyde, The Hoxton, the Mondrian, and others in its portfolio.

While Ennismore properties can be booked with Accor points (in some cases), the chain also has its own loyalty program. Dis-loyalty, which launched last year, is a non-traditional take on a loyalty program.

You won’t earn points or night credits, and there is no elite status. However, for $18 monthly, you’ll enjoy a handful of benefits, such as 50% off new hotels within 3 months of opening.

Final Thoughts

Ennismore is continuing the expansion of the Hoxton brand in Europe with a new signing in Oslo. While we don’t know many details about the new hotel, it is expected to be a welcome addition to a growing neighborhood in Oslo. Until it opens, check out Ennismore’s other Hoxton hotels worldwide!
