There’s some big news from World of Hyatt today. Two historic properties in New Orleans — Maison Métier and The Barnett — have officially joined the World of Hyatt loyalty program.

Let’s take a look.

World of Hyatt Boosts Its Footprint in New Orleans

Maison Métier and The Barnett, 2 adjacent properties located near New Orleans’ French Quarter, have joined World of Hyatt. Here’s a look at both boutique hotels.

Maison Métier is housed in a building that dates back to the early 1900s. The hotel has 67 guest rooms and suites. Also popular with New Orleans locals, the hotel features a salon-style bar, a breakfast room, a fitness center, and a living room where guests can gather for cocktails, tea, and more.

Maison Métier is a One MICHELIN Key hotel and a Historical Hotel of America property. It will join The Unbound Collection, part of Hyatt’s luxury group.

The Barnett is considerably larger, making it a great option for large bookings or events. The 234-room hotel features an Italian restaurant, an oyster bar, a rooftop and pool bar, and a music venue. Additionally, the hotel offers a whopping 16,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces. The Barnett will join JdV by Hyatt, a collection of eclectic hotels in urban areas.

The 2 hotels are located near the famous French Quarter, where the sounds of music and the smells of delicious food are everywhere. Regardless of which hotel you choose, you’ll be close to other attractions like Mardi Gras World, Frenchmen Street, and more.

“These 2 unique downtown properties embody the true spirit of New Orleans, offering guests memorable experiences steeped in local culture,” said Katie Johnson, global brand leader of Hyatt Luxury & Collection brands.

Booking Maison Métier and The Barnett

You can redeem World of Hyatt points to book stays at both Maison Métier and The Barnett, though one property is cheaper than the other.

The Barnett is a World of Hyatt Category 5 hotel, which means award rates range between 17,000 and 23,000 points per night, depending on dates. Meanwhile, Maison Métier is a Category 6 property, meaning rates range between 21,000 and 29,000 points nightly.

There are a couple of great ways to earn World of Hyatt points. The program has 2 great transfer partners in Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards. You can also earn points through welcome bonuses and from spending on the chain’s co-branded credit cards.

With cash rates starting around $200 nightly at The Barnett, and $400 nightly at Maison Métier, we recommend using World of Hyatt points to maximize your stay in the Big Easy.

Hot Tip:

Both hotels are offering promotional offers. The Barnett’s “Savor & Save in New Orleans” promo offers a $25 daily credit, while Maison Métier is offering a similar promotion, but for $50 in daily credits for in-room dining, salon, or Breakfast Room purchases.

Final Thoughts

Hyatt has boosted its presence in New Orleans with the addition of 2 luxury hotels to its portfolio. These boutique hotels are pretty good deals with points, and offer some great benefits if you’re a World of Hyatt member.
