Hyatt just announced plans for a new adults-only all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana is scheduled to open later in 2025, further strengthening Hyatt’s focus on all-inclusive resorts and the Dominican Republic as a destination.

And it’s just the second location of Hyatt Vivid — a brand you might not be familiar with.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana Will Open in 2025

Hyatt has doubled down on all-inclusive resorts over the last few years, with the addition of brands like Dreams, Secrets, Sunscape, and Zoëtry.

One of the newest brands in the Hyatt portfolio (that you’ve probably never heard of) is Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts. With just 1 property currently open (Hyatt Vivid Grand Island in Cancun), it’s also the smallest brand in the Hyatt family. However, it’s clear that this new brand — along with the Dominican Republic as a vacation destination — is integral to Hyatt’s plans for 2025.

“We are pleased to further strengthen the Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio with Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana,” said Antonio Fungairino, head of development for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. “Hyatt’s continued brand expansion in the region, from the sought-after beach towns of Playa Esmeralda, Punta Cana, Cap Cana, and beyond, reinforces the Dominican Republic’s status as a premier destination for high-end hospitality, while reinforcing Hyatt’s leadership in the all-inclusive segment.”

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, an adults-only all-inclusive resort, is expected to open later in 2025. This brand of resorts is designed for the modern traveler seeking flexibility, locally inspired cultural activities, and an emphasis on wellness.

To meet those needs, Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana will feature a spa, both indoor and outdoor gyms, pickleball and tennis courts, a juice and healthy snack bar, 5 restaurants, 4 pools, a sports bar, a speakeasy jazz club, and swim-up rooms.

The resort will be able to receive a large number of guests, as there will be 500 guest rooms and convention space that can accommodate up to 1,000 people.

Hot Tip:

The Dominican Republic continues to be a popular vacation spot, offering a multitude of resorts and all-inclusive options. In addition to easy access from the U.S. and gorgeous beaches, this Caribbean country offers lots of activities for the whole family including snorkeling, boating, ATV adventures, and more.

How To Book Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana isn’t taking reservations quite yet. However, when it opens up for bookings, we expect it to be a great option for travelers looking for high-end accommodations that don’t break the bank.

The brand’s other property in Cancun is a Hyatt Category B (all-inclusive resorts have their own award chart using letters A to F). It costs just 17,000 to 23,000 points per night for 2 people. Considering other all-inclusive resorts can cost up to 58,000 points per night, Hyatt Vivid resorts could be a nice opportunity to stay at an all-inclusive resort for a very reasonable amount of World of Hyatt points.

Final Thoughts

Hyatt is continuing to increase its all-inclusive offerings. Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, an adults-only all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, is expected to open later in 2025. It will be just the second location from the Hyatt Vivid brand.
