Hyatt has opened a new adults-only all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico: Hyatt Vivid Cancun.

The opening marks the latest expansion for the Vivid brand and yet another sign that Hyatt is committed to growing its all-inclusive footprint in some of the world’s most popular destinations.

Here’s a look at all the details of this new property.

Hyatt Vivid Cancun Replaces the Former Dreams Vista Cancun

Now open for guests, the 416-room adults-only Hyatt Vivid Cancun has replaced the former Dreams Vista Cancun Golf Resort & Spa on a stretch of oceanfront property within the Puerta del Mar community.

All guestrooms at Hyatt Vivid Cancun boast ocean views, and the property offers a Vantage Club, an upgraded experience that provides guests with premium rooms, a private lounge, exclusive concierge service, elevated dining, and additional amenities.

The resort offers 7 restaurants that serve everything from Pan-Asian to traditional Italian. There are also 7 bars and lounges, including the Amber Beach Bar and the rooftop Bar 360°. Elsewhere, guests can enjoy the full-service spa with hydrotherapy treatments, massages, facials, and locally inspired treatments.

There are also 3 pools, pickleball and padel courts, 2 surf pools, and an 18-hole golf course — certainly enough to keep anyone occupied for more than a few days.

Remember, this is an all-inclusive property, meaning just about everything comes with your room rate, including 24-hour dining, beer, wine, top-shelf spirits, soft drinks, items from the in-room minibar, and more.

Hot Tip:

The news of Hyatt Vivid Cancun’s opening comes on the heels of Hyatt Vivid Grand Island exiting World of HyattThat property has rebranded as Mondrian Cancun, marking the first all-inclusive property under Accor‘s Mondrian brand.

How To Book

Hyatt Vivid Cancun participates in the World of Hyatt program, meaning you can earn and redeem World of Hyatt points for stays here.

However, Hyatt’s all-inclusive properties are priced on a separate award chart and don’t fall into the classic Category 1-8 ratings. This is a Category C property, meaning award nights cost the following rates:

  • Lowest: 20,000 points per night
  • Low: 25,000 points per night
  • Moderate: 30,000 points per night
  • Upper: 35,000 points per night
  • Top: 40,000 points per night

There’s quite a bit of availability at the Lowest and Low rates, especially in the next few months.

If you’d prefer to pay cash, expect to pay at least $280 per night for standard rooms, while Vantage Club rates start at around $330 per night.

Hot Tip:

If you’re in need of Hyatt points, you have several options. You could open one of World of Hyatt’s co-branded credit cards, both of which have generous welcome bonus offers and earn bonus points on daily spending. Alternatively, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points at up to a 1:1 ratio to the program, depending on the specific Chase card you hold.

Final Thoughts

The former Dreams Vista Cancun Golf Resort & Spa has now become Hyatt Vivid Cancun, an adults-only, all-inclusive property right on the beach in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. With reasonable cash and award rates, this could become a great option for World of Hyatt members looking to escape to the sun and sand for a few days.
