The partnership between the 2 chains formed a new IHG brand known as Iberostar Beachfront Resorts and added almost 25,000 rooms to IHG’s global footprint.

Now, IHG and Iberostar are offering a promotion that can knock 20% off the number of points you need to book a stay, so long as you book by March 13 for stays this summer.

IHG’s latest sale is a very good one. Save up to 20% on award stays at participating Iberostar Beachfront Resorts in incredible destinations around the world including Aruba, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Mexico.

You must book between now and March 13, 2025, and travel is valid from June 1 to August 31, 2025, making this an ideal offer for your summer travel plans.

Participating properties include JOIA Aruba, Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites (Jamaica), Iberostar Playa Mita (Mexico), Iberostar Wave Quetzal (Mexico), JOIA Bávaro (Dominican Republic), Iberostar Waves Bahía (Brazil), and more.

Here are some more terms and conditions you should be aware of before you make your reservations:

• Book by March 13 for travel between June 1 and August 31, 2025.
• There’s a maximum discount of 20% applied to the number of points you need for a reservation.
• The discount doesn’t apply to paid (cash) rates or Points & Cash bookings.
• Restrictions apply at some hotels on certain dates. All properties are subject to availability.
• Offer cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
• The partnership between IHG and Iberostar excludes Iberostar properties in Cuba.

IHG started emailing this offer to members a few hours ago. However, the few properties we tried to book with points aren’t reflecting the discount yet. There may be a delay with this promotion becoming active.

Iberostar Beachfront Resorts and IHG One Rewards

Iberostar Beachfront Resorts participate in the IHG One Rewards program, meaning members can earn and redeem IHG One Rewards points for stays and receive some elite perks if they’ve achieved IHG elite status.

If your balance is low and you need to earn IHG One Rewards points, you have a few options. IHG offers 3 credit cards — 2 personal and 1 business — all issued by Chase. You also can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to IHG One Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.
