Do you have an IHG Business Rewards account? If not, you may want to rethink that, because IHG has relaunched a great promotion for members. You can earn double points on bookings for weddings, meetings, or rooms through June 2025 if you book by December 31.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Promotion Details

IHG Business Rewards is separate from IHG One Rewards, IHG’s consumer rewards program. It’s free to sign up for IHG Business Rewards, and membership allows you to earn points on events, meetings, and rooms for others.

To earn double points on weddings, events, and meetings until June 30, 2025, you must be an IHG Business Rewards member and register for the promotion. Stays, weddings, or events need to be booked by December 31, 2024.

While there is no limit to the number of bookings you can make during the promotion period, you can earn a maximum of 60,000 base points on each booking. This means if you were to max out the offer by spending $20,000 on 1 booking, you’d earn 6x IHG One Rewards points per $1 spent, totaling 120,000 points (60,000 base points + 60,000 bonus points).

Hot Tip:

Earn even more points — up to 26x total points per $1 spent on IHG hotel stays — with an IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re not already an IHG Business Rewards member and you have spending that would qualify, you’ll definitely want to sign up for the program. As we mentioned above, it’s free, and there’s no cap on the number of points you can earn.

You’re also able to earn elite status with IHG One Rewards as an IHG Business Rewards member, meaning you can take advantage of IHG’s rewards program to enjoy things like club access and suite upgrades.

IHG Business Rewards customers will generally earn 3x points per $1 spent on all qualifying spend. With this promotion, you’ll instead be earning 6x points per $1 spent. We value IHG points at 0.5 cents each, so you’ll be netting a 3% return on all your spending with this promotion. This isn’t amazing, but it beats the 1.5% return you’d get without the promotion.

Hot Tip:

Final Thoughts

If you have upcoming business spend with IHG, there’s no reason not to register for this promotion. With a generous booking window and an even more generous stay period, it’ll be easy to earn huge quantities of IHG One Rewards points for your next stay.
