IHG Expands Double Elite Qualifying Nights Promotion With New Targeted Offer

The original offer for double elite qualifying nights on stays through July 31 is still available for eligible members, and IHG has added another version covering stays through September 30, 2026.

Before you get too excited, know that this offer is targeted, meaning not everyone will be eligible. Additionally, the number of bonus nights you can earn is limited. Here’s what you should know if you’re interested.

IHG Double Elite Nights Offer for July Through September — Details

IHG One Rewards has launched another targeted promotion that awards eligible IHG One Rewards members double elite qualifying nights on stays completed between July 1 and September 30, 2026.

Members who register for the offer can earn up to 10 bonus elite qualifying nights, double the maximum available under IHG’s earlier summer promotion. Those bonus nights also count toward IHG Milestone Rewards, though they won’t count toward elite night rollover.

As with the summer offer, only paid stays qualify. Award nights booked with points, Points & Cash reservations, and other ineligible stays won’t earn bonus elite qualifying nights. Since this is a targeted offer and requires enrollment, you’ll want to check if you’re eligible and register here first.

Double Elite Nights Offer for June Through July

Similarly, the current offer awards double elite qualifying nights to select members, allowing you to earn up to 5 bonus nights. If you didn’t receive an email for this offer, you can try enrolling here.

Earning double elite qualifying nights can halve the nights you need to spend in hotels to earn IHG elite status this year. This offer applies to stays from June 3 to July 31, 2026.

There are some limitations to this offer, however. First, you’ll need to be targeted, and not everyone will be. Additionally, you can earn a maximum of 5 bonus elite qualifying nights with this offer. Additionally, you must register for this offer, and only stays completed after registration are eligible for double nights.

A further limitation is that you can only earn double elite nights on paid stays. Award stays using points won’t qualify. Neither will stays using Points + Cash or stays costing less than $30 for your room rate.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re looking for IHG elite status and need some help making it happen, this promotion should make you happy. That’s doubly true if you already have stays planned through September, as you could now earn double nights on up to 10 nights stayed during that period.

The limitations of this promotion mean it’s not a slam dunk for everyone. You can’t shoot to the top tiers of IHG One Rewards elite status from this offer alone, as you can earn a maximum of 10 bonus nights. If you’re going to jump on this offer, you’ll best maximize it with inexpensive stays, given that it requires paid nights for double stay credits.

If you weren’t planning to pursue IHG status without this offer, pursuing it just because of this offer won’t make sense, given its limitations.
