If you’re looking to move up to a higher tier or requalify for IHG elite status, a new promotion could help you out. IHG One Rewards is offering double elite qualifying nights in the final quarter of this year.

Before you get too excited, know that this offer is targeted, meaning not everyone will be eligible, and the number of bonus nights you can earn is limited. Here’s what you should know if you’re interested.

IHG Double Elite Nights Promotion — Details

IHG One Rewards is offering double elite qualifying nights to select members, and you can try to enroll here to see if you’re eligible.

Earning double elite qualifying nights can halve the nights you need to spend in hotels to earn IHG elite status before the end of the year. This offer applies to stays from October 1 to December 31, 2024.

There are some limitations to this offer, however. First, you’ll need to be targeted, and not everyone will be. Additionally, you can earn a maximum of 14 bonus elite qualifying nights with this offer.

A further limitation is that you can only earn double elite nights from 2 stays during the promotion period. Thus, this promotion is most helpful for those with lengthy stays coming up.

Hot Tip:

IHG also has a fast-track offer to Diamond Elite status right now, which is another option for targeted members to reach elite tiers before the end of the year.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re looking for IHG elite status and need some help before the end of this year, this promotion comes at the right time. That’s doubly true if you already have stays planned between October and December, as you could now earn double nights on 2 of those trips.

The limitations of this promotion mean it’s not a slam dunk for everyone. You can’t shoot to the top tiers of IHG One Rewards elite status from this offer alone, as you can earn a maximum of 14 bonus nights. The real downside, though, is that it only applies to 2 stays. If you’re going to jump on this promotion, make sure your first 2 stays during the promotion window are the longest of your upcoming reservations.

If you weren’t planning to pursue IHG status without this offer, pursuing it just because of this offer won’t make sense, given its limitations.

For reference, here’s how many elite nights you normally need for IHG status each year:

  • Silver Elite: 10 nights
  • Gold Elite: 20 nights
  • Platinum Elite: 40 nights
  • Diamond Elite: 70 nights

Final Thoughts

IHG is currently offering a targeted promotion for double elite qualifying nights. Eligible guests can earn up to 14 bonus nights, applicable to 2 stays between October 1 and December 31.
