Fast Track to IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite Status

If you’ve been aiming for IHG’s top-tier Diamond Elite status, this could be the offer you’ve been waiting for.

Staying 10 paid nights between now and the end of 2026 will earn those with the offer a fast track to Diamond Elite status. Stays paid with either points or points and cash do not count towards the 10 nights.

Members who’ve received the offer must register first before booking and staying. If you haven’t received an email, it’s worth checking the “offers” section of your IHG One Rewards account.

If you complete the 10 stays for the fast track, your shiny new Diamond Elite status will be valid through 2027.

IHG Double Elite Nights Offer Until December

The second targeted promotion awards eligible IHG One Rewards members double elite qualifying nights on stays completed between September 30 and December 31, 2026.

Members who register for the offer can earn up to 10 bonus elite qualifying nights, double the usual offer maximum. Those bonus nights also count toward IHG Milestone Rewards, though they won’t count toward elite night rollover.

As with the Diamond Elite offer, only paid stays qualify. Award nights booked with points, Points & Cash reservations, and other ineligible stays won’t earn bonus elite qualifying nights. Since this is a targeted offer and requires enrollment, you’ll want to check if you’re eligible and register here first.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re looking for IHG elite status and need some help making it happen, these promotions should make you happy. That’s doubly true if you already have stays planned through the end of, as you could now earn double nights on up to 10 nights stayed during that period.

The limitations of these promotions mean they’re not a slam dunk for everyone. You can only shoot to the top tiers of IHG One Rewards elite status if you’ve been targeted with the Diamond Elite fast track offer. If you’re going to jump on the double elite qualifying offer instead, you’d best maximize it with inexpensive stays, given that it requires paid nights for double stay credits.

If you weren’t planning to pursue IHG status without this offer, pursuing it just because of this offer won’t make sense, given its limitations.

For reference, here’s how many elite nights you normally need for IHG status each year:

Silver Elite: 10 nights
Gold Elite: 20 nights
Platinum Elite: 40 nights
Diamond Elite: 70 nights
