IHG Resorts and Hotels adds to its growing collection of luxury properties in France with the signing of InterContinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal.

The hotel will be ready in 2024 after a major renovation, but we already have an idea of what to look forward to. Keep reading to find out more!

A 20th-Century Château Joins IHG

The InterContinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal, which was originally built in the 20th century, will debut in 2024. Currently, the hotel features Louis XVI-style architecture.

The 107-room hotel joins InterContinental properties in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, and Marseille. However, its location in the Chantilly Forest sets the scene for a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Paris.

After its renovation and reopening in 2024, Intercontinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal will have 2 restaurants, a bar, and a summer terrace. The hotel will also feature a gym, sauna, indoor swimming pool, and tennis court.

Where Is Chantilly?

Located within the metropolitan area of Paris in Northern France, the town of Chantilly is just 30 minutes outside of Paris. Better yet, the Intercontinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal is located 20 minutes from Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

The city is best known for its racecourse, which hosts the Prix de Diane each June. It’s also the birthplace of Chantilly cream, a sweetened whipped cream that’s commonly found in French desserts.

Hot Tip:

Chantilly is also home to one of France’s largest art collections at the Musée Condé.

How to Book

Reservations are not yet available under IHG for the Intercontinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal. You can, however, book directly with the hotel until it becomes available under IHG in 2024.

If waiting to book with points, be sure to check out our guide to redeeming IHG points for maximum value.

IHG’s 3 credit cards are cobranded with Chase, and you can use them to earn IHG One Rewards points. Alternatively, you can also transfer Bilt Rewards or Chase Ultimate Rewards points to IHG at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

IHG Hotels and Resorts’ latest luxury hotel addition will add significant value to IHG One Rewards members traveling to France. In fact, the new property marks the hotel chain’s third hotel to join its luxury portfolio in the country after undergoing a major renovation in 2024.
