ITA Airways is offering Volare loyalty program members a quick and easy way to boost their mileage balance — no flights or purchases required. From September 5 through September 19, 2025, members can earn 2,000 bonus points just for updating certain profile information.

Here’s what you need to know.

How To Get 2,000 Volare Points

With the Volare program set to merge into Lufthansa’s Miles & More program sometime in 2026, this is an effortless opportunity to pad your account — if you haven’t already taken advantage of a similar promotion in the past.

We saw this offer available back in July, for example. If you updated your information then and earned bonus points, you aren’t eligible for the offer this time around.

To get the 2,000 bonus points, log into your Volare account and update any of the following:

Address
Consent preferences
Gender

Once the update is completed, 2,000 non-qualifying bonus points will be credited to your account within 60 days. You’ll only be awarded the bonus once, regardless of how many changes you make.

Here are a few essential things to keep in mind:

The promotion is only valid September 5-19, 2025.
Only 1 bonus per member is allowed.
If you’ve already earned points from a past profile update promo, you won’t be eligible.
These 2,000 bonus points are non-qualifying and don’t count toward elite status.
ITA Airways reserves the right to cancel or suspend the promotion in case of fraud or abuse.

In my case, I simply toggled on one of the privacy consent preferences and the 2,000 bonus points posted to my account instantly. So, updating just one field appears to be enough to trigger the bonus — and the points appear to arrive immediately.

Is It Worth It?

This is easily one of the easiest promotions we’ve seen in a while, and it’s absolutely worth taking advantage of — especially since changing just one field (like a privacy consent toggle) is enough to trigger the bonus. The whole process takes less than a minute, and you’ll walk away with 2,000 bonus points in your account.

Even better, those Volare points will eventually convert into Lufthansa Miles & More miles when Volare is folded into the Lufthansa Group’s loyalty program in 2026. That’s a big deal, because Miles & More miles are notoriously hard to earn. Lufthansa isn’t a transfer partner of any major U.S. credit card programs – just Rove Miles.

If you’re planning to redeem for premium cabin travel, it’s a program worth watching. Lufthansa regularly offers round-trip business class awards for as little as 55,000 miles, which is excellent value by any standard.
