JetBlue and Cape Air are enhancing their codeshare and improving loyalty benefits for passengers flying on the commuter airline.

Now, when you fly Cape Air-operated flights, you can earn and redeem your TrueBlue points … but should you?

Let’s take a look at the improved partnership.

JetBlue and Cape Air Loyalty Benefits

Today, JetBlue announced that it would enhance its long-standing codeshare with the commuter airline, Cape Air.

Now, JetBlue TrueBlue members will be able to earn and redeem TrueBlue points on Cape Air-operated flights when they book directly through JetBlue.

Cape Air flights have long been available on the JetBlue website; however, the added option of earning and redeeming points is a nice improvement.

As our first airline partner, we couldn’t be more excited to expand our partnership with Cape Air to offer our customers the ability to earn and redeem through our TrueBlue loyalty program. Whether traveling to one of our beloved focus cities like Boston, New York, or San Juan or connecting to world-class beach destinations in the Caribbean, we continue to provide customers with more ways to be rewarded for their loyalty and make the most of their travel experience.

Besides earning and redeeming points, JetBlue TrueBlue elite members won’t see any additional benefits when flying Cape Air.

When it comes to redeeming TrueBlue points on Cape Air, you can expect to get around 1 cent per point.

Although the rates aren’t great, it’s nice to have an extra award redemption option for smaller airports like Martha’s Vineyard (MVY) and Nantucket (ACK), which can get pricey during peak seasons.

Hot Tip:

When paying cash on Cape Air flights, you will only earn 1x-2x TrueBlue points per $1 spent, based on your class of service.

About Cape Air

Cape Air is a commuter airline based in Hyannis, Massachusetts, that primarily serves leisure destinations in the Northeast U.S., the Midwest, Montana, and the Caribbean.

With more than 250 daily flights onboard their smaller aircraft, including Cessna 402s and Tecnam P2012 Travellers, if you are traveling with Cape Air, it is bound to be a unique experience.

For 17 years, we have grown our partnership with a shared vision to connect and delight customers in the communities we serve. With our expanded partnership, we are excited to offer even more value to those who live, work, and play in some of the most beautiful vacation destinations in the world.

Lisa Shivdasani, Cape Air’s senior vice president of airline partnerships and commercial

Now, passengers will have even more reasons to fly Cape Air.

Final Thoughts

JetBlue and Cape Air are enhancing their long-standing codeshare, which is good news for passengers.

Now, TrueBlue members can earn and redeem points on Cape Air-operated flights. Despite the less-than-ideal rates, it is still nice to have the option.
