JetBlue Airline Overview

TrueBlue is JetBlue’s loyalty program. You don’t earn points based on miles flown, but rather dollars spent on JetBlue flights and partner activities.

TrueBlue has customer-friendly policies like no points expiration and the ability to share points with family members.

There are 4 elite status levels, Mosaic 1, Mosaic 2, Mosaic 3, and Mosaic 4, which come with benefits such as bonus points, complimentary Even More Space seats, priority boarding, and free checked bags.

JetBlue is not part of an airline alliance, but there are an increasing amount of redemption options with its expanding list of partner airlines.

Joining TrueBlue

Visit JetBlue’s website to enroll in TrueBlue for free.

How To Sign in to Your TrueBlue Account

You can access your account by entering your email and password on the JetBlue homepage.

Viewing Your Account Activity

Use your TrueBlue Dashboard to see recent account activity, credits, and more.

Points Expiration

TrueBlue points do not expire.

JetBlue TrueBlue Program

The TrueBlue program has a unique feature in Points Pooling — available to all members — and has 4 levels of elite status: Mosaic 1, Mosaic 2, Mosaic 3, and Mosaic 4.

Points Pooling

With Points Poolingup to 7 travelers can earn and share rewards together. There are several things to be aware of with Points Pooling:

  • When you join a TrueBlue Pool, 100% of your points go into the pool.
  • The Pool Leader can manage members and designate who is allowed to use points.
  • The Pool Leader can redeem any points in the pool without further authorization from a pool member.
  • If the Pool Leader removes a member, no new member can be added for 6 months.
  • A member who leaves a pool will do so with the remaining points balance in their own account.

Mosaic Status Benefits

Benefits of Mosaic status include:

  • 3 bonus points per dollar on JetBlue flights
  • Free same-day changes (including co-terminals such as JFK/LGA/EWR)
  • Waived change and cancellation fees
  • 2 free checked bags
  • Priority check-in, security, and boarding
  • Complimentary inflight alcoholic beverages
  • Even More Space seat upgrades
  • Complimentary FoundersCard membership
  • Complimentary upgrade on the Heathrow Express train

Earning Mosaic Status

To earn Mosaic elite status, you need to earn tiles.

  • Mosaic 1: 50 tiles
  • Mosaic 2: 100 tiles
  • Mosaic 3: 150 tiles
  • Mosaic 4: 250 tiles

You’ll earn 1 tile for every $100 spent on any of the following: JetBlue flights, JetBlue Vacations, and Paisly by JetBlue (hotels, car rentals, activities, etc.) Additionally, you’ll earn 1 tile for every $1,000 spent on any JetBlue credit card.

Bottom Line:

JetBlue has 4 levels of elite status which are earned by collection tiles. Some perks are automatic at each level of Mosaic status while others can be chosen based at different levels through the “Perks You Pick” program.

How To Earn TrueBlue Points

You can earn tons of TrueBlue points by flying JetBlue, using credit cards, and more. Let’s take a look at how it works.

Flying JetBlue Airways

As a revenue-based program, earning points is based on the cost of tickets (excluding taxes):

  • 3 base points + 3 bonus points per dollar for Blue class, as well as the premium Mint product

Using Points for JetBlue Flights

You can book one-way or round-trip awards with TrueBlue points.

Search for flights the same as cash tickets, just select TrueBlue Points instead of Cash in your search.

You’ll see each fare option and its price in points. Mint fares will be displayed on flights where it’s available.

The points rate is not fixed. Depending on the specific flight, you could get less than 1 cent in value per point, or you could get nearly 2 cents per point in value.

Finding Value in TrueBlue Award Flights

You can get a good value for your TrueBlue points, especially when the cash prices for tickets are low.

See our guide to the best ways to redeem JetBlue TrueBlue points for our top suggestions for using your TrueBlue points.

Flights on Partner Airlines

While JetBlue has several airline partners for earning points, only some of them are available for redemption using TrueBlue points, including Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, and Icelandair.

You must call JetBlue to check for award availability and price. Prices are based on the cash price of the ticket and are generally reported to be a poor value compared to other options for Hawaiian Airlines flights or flights to Hawaii.

Is there a way to use points on a hotel? I won’t be flying but would like to use the points toward a hotel if possible. If not, is there a hotel that I could earn double points if I use my card there?

Hi Katie,
You can use your TrueBlue points towards a JetBlue vacation package that includes a hotel. Here’s some more information on how to do that:
Ultimate Guide to JetBlue Vacation Packages

None of the JetBlue credit cards offer bonus points on hotels.
Thanks for reading!

I need more help on the phone. I waited 34 min only for us to get cut off. I waited another 40 min only to know the person was not interested in taking the time to help me.
