Flying with JetBlue now comes without the anxiety of being separated from your checked bag.

Passengers can now track their checked bags with real-time updates in the app. Additionally, customers can share the location of their Apple AirTag.

“This new in-app bag tracking feature, along with AirTag location sharing for baggage recovery, are designed to bring customers peace of mind when checking their bags with JetBlue,” said Carol Clements, chief digital and technology officer at JetBlue.

Use Apple’s ‘Find My’ Function to Track Your JetBlue Checked Baggage

Arriving at your destination to find your bag didn’t make it is a tangible fear many travelers have. From now on, flying JetBlue will come with less bag stress, thanks to the ability to share your checked bag’s location with JetBlue’s baggage service team via Apple’s “Find My” functionality.

The process is simple. All you need to do is create a “Share Item Location” link via the Find My app on your iOS device. While this is possible using all iOS devices, including desktop Macs, it makes most sense to do this with the device you have easiest access to during your journey, such as an iPhone or iPad.

If your bag was lost along the way, the link you created can then be shared on arrival at your destination. Simply scanning a QR code in the JetBlue baggage claim area will share your bag’s location with JetBlue to help the airline reunite you with your bag.

The location of a passenger’s bag is shared securely and ends automatically once the bag is returned to its owner.

Track Your Baggage In The JetBlue App

Similar to what some other airlines have already implemented, JetBlue passengers can now track the journey of their checked bags via the JetBlue app. This is in addition to the emails that JetBlue sends with baggage updates.
