JetBlue finally gave us what we’ve been asking for for years: its very own lounges.

After opening its first-ever, aptly named BlueHouse at JFK in December, JetBlue has just introduced day passes for those who aren’t eligible for complimentary visits.

Let’s take a look at the details and what this could mean for your next flight with JetBlue.

Who Can Buy a BlueHouse Day Pass? And How Much Are They?

Unfortunately for non-JetBlue passengers, you can’t just wander in off the concourse and buy a BlueHouse day pass into the BlueHouse at JFK (currently the only one). You have to fall into one of the following categories: JetBlue Mosaic 1-3 status holders or a Mint passengers not taking a transatlantic flight.

An additional requirement for the lead passenger and any guests is that the fare they booked must be a Blue fare or higher.

Prices also vary according to your credentials:

Mosaic 1-2 Elite Status Holders

If you match the above criteria, you can use the lounge for up to 3 hours before your scheduled departure. JetBlue doesn’t currently allow lounge use on arrival at JFK.

Previously, BlueHouse access was limited to holders of the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard®,  TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members, and flyers in Mint cabins headed to Europe.

Watch this space for an update from JetBlue about potential BlueHouse annual passes!

Is Buying a BlueHouse Day Pass Worth It?

If you’re the kind of person to get to the airport just as your flight is about to close, then you’re probably not JetBlue’s key market.

However, if you like to use the time after check-in and security to relax and soak up that preflight airport vibe, a BlueHouse day pass could be worth it. For example, by the time you’ve paid for a meal and a couple of drinks at an overpriced airport restaurant and then bought some snacks for the plane, you could have easily spent $59. Instead, you could invest that $59 in a visit to the BlueHouse and maximize every cent during your stay.

Personally, I think $79 is a little too much for a one-time pass. But. hey, if you’re a big airport spender, then go for it.

Hot Tip:

JetBlue’s Boston-based flyers can expect the a second BlueHouse to open at Logan International Airport (BOS) sometime around mid-2026.

Final Thoughts

JetBlue has invested millions of dollars in its JFK BlueHouse, so adding day passes will surely be a welcome revenue stream for the airline’s financial team.

As for passengers, $59 is a considerably low fee for such a high-quality lounge. In the meantime, we’ll update you as soon as we hear of an opening date for Boston’s BlueHouse.
