¡Vamos a Colombia!
The Colombian subsidiary of LATAM Airlines Group has announced a new route from Orlando (MCO) to Bogotá (BOG) — the capital of Colombia.
Let’s take a look at the details.
LATAM To Launch Daily Route From Bogotá to Orlando
The new connection between Colombia and Florida comes in part thanks to the joint venture between LATAM and Delta, increasing the number of codeshare flights for passengers traveling across the Americas.
By nature of the joint venture, it means Delta passengers arriving at Orlando from across the U.S. will be able to connect seamlessly onto LATAM’s new Orlando to Bogotá service — and vice versa.
When the service inaugurates on July 1, 2023, it will join the existing service between Bogotá and Miami (MIA), becoming the second LATAM Colombia route between Bogotá and the U.S.
The schedule for LATAM’s daily route is as follows:
- Depart Bogotá (BOG) 10:15 a.m. — Arrive Orlando (MCO) 3:33 p.m.
- Depart Orlando (MCO) 4:57 p.m. — Arrive Bogotá (BOG) 8:10 p.m.
Hot Tip: If you’re a frequent traveler to and around South America, you should consider signing up for one of LATAM’s rewards credit cards for extra perks and earn LATAM Pass Points. LATAM is also a transfer partner of Marriott Bonvoy.
“Delta’s partnership with LATAM is meant to expand access and elevate the experience for customers traveling between North and South America,” said Alex Antilla, Vice President for Delta Latin America. “This exciting new route between Orlando and Bogotá will provide customers with more access to the places they want to go.”
Avianca and Spirit already operate daily services between the 2 cities. The addition of LATAM as the third airline on this route will bring an improved passenger experience compared to the low-cost incumbents.
Final Thoughts
More LATAM flights to the U.S. from Latin America mean greater travel connection possibilities to Central and South America for Delta flyers from cities across the U.S.
This addition of this LATAM Colombia-operated service from Orlando to Bogotá strengthens the ever-expanding joint venture between Delta and LATAM. We’re looking forward to learning which routes could be next on the airlines’ list!
