Avelo is once again increasing its route network.

The low-cost start-up will be adding 2 new routes from its Orlando (MCO) hub to Dayton (DAY) in Ohio and Dubuque (DBQ) in Iowa, bringing the total number of destinations served by Avelo from the Florida city to 10.

“Orlando – we’re growing again! We promised growth when we opened our Orlando base, and now we’ve added two more nonstop routes: Dayton and Dubuque,” said Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO.

Here are the details about Avelo’s latest route network expansion from its hub in Orlando.

Dayton and Dubuque Get Nonstop Service to Orlando

The news of Avelo’s latest 2 new routes is exciting for several reasons.

First of all, Dayton and Dubuque are both new destinations for Avelo, bringing the total number of destinations served to 33 across the U.S.

For those living in Dayton and Dubuque, Avelo’s arrival heralds the first and only nonstop service to Orlando, bringing new travel opportunities to those living at each end of the new routes.

“These routes make getting to Orlando more affordable and easier than ever, plus they offer Orlando residents opportunities to visit places not previously served from MCO,” said Levy.

Avelo’s inaugural service to Dubuque (DBQ) is planned for January 11, 2023, with the following schedule:

  • Depart Orlando (MCO) 3:05 p.m. — Arrive Dubuque (DQB) 5:05 p.m.
  • Depart Dubuque (DBQ) 5:50 p.m. — Arrive Orlando (MCO) 9:35 p.m.

Flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The first flight to Dayton will take to the skies on January 13, 2023, after which it will operate on Fridays and Mondays with the following schedule:

  • Depart Orlando (MCO) 5:25 p.m. — Arrive Dayton (DAY) 7:40 p.m.
  • Depart Dayton (DAY) 8:25 p.m. — Arrive Orlando (MCO) 10:40 p.m.

Make the most of Avelo’s introductory one-way fares from just $49 between Orlando and Dayton and $59 between Orlando and Dubuque.

Avelo operates a small fleet of all-economy-configured Boeing 737 aircraft.

Bottom Line: Avelo is an ultra-low-cost airline whose aim is to connect underserved cities across the U.S., like Wilmington, Delaware where Avelo will be the provider of the only commercial flights from the state.

Final Thoughts

When Avelo takes off from Orlando to Dayton and Dubuque for the first time in January 2023, those living at both ends of the routes will welcome brand-new travel opportunities.

We love how Avelo continues to stand by its word by providing exciting new connections.
