Getting around the small island nation is easy, thanks to its rail network, but flying can save you a lot of time and money.

That’s when Loganair comes in. The Scottish regional airline connects cities across the country, including the Scottish Islands, the Channel Islands, and even the Isle of Man. It even flies to Norway, Denmark, and Ireland.

And now the airline is offering Avios redemptions from just 3,350 — half the usual 6,500! Here’s how to take advantage of this deal for yourself.

My educated guess is that you have zero points stashed in a Loganair Loyalty account.

That doesn’t matter. Since last year, Loganair has allowed Avios transfers at a rate of 1:1 from the British Airways Club. And if you have no BA Avios, you can transfer points from a selection of different travel rewards credit cards that will also convert at a rate of 1:1 into BA Avios.

You’ll just need to make sure you’ve transferred your points and made any bookings by February 10 when the 50% award discount expires. This promotion applies to bookings made by February 10 for travel after March 7, 2026.

Let’s take a look at a couple of examples.

Loganair is the only airline to fly nonstop from Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh (EDI), to Guernsey (GUE) in the Channel Islands.

The 2-hour nonstop flight in the middle of summer will cost you just 3,250 Avios plus taxes and fees.

For this particular route, Loganair’s taxes and fees are $75.

The cash fare for the same flight is $174. Factoring in the Avios cash value of $40 (per Upgraded Points’ valuations), you’d save around $60 per ticket by using Avios instead of cash. That could amount to a few hundred dollars in savings for a family of 4.

Another great option would be to visit the Isle of Man, located in the Irish Sea. Loganair flies nonstop from London City (LCY) and London Heathrow (LHR), also available starting at just 3,350 Avios plus taxes and fees.

In this case, taxes and fees are lower at around $55. Loganair is also the only airline to operate nonstop flights on these routes.

Loganair also operates 2 very niche international routes: Aberdeen (ABV) to Esbjerg (ESB) in Denmark, and from Shetland (LSI) in Scotland to Bergen (BGO) in Norway.

Final Thoughts

Thanks to these great-value redemptions at just 3,250 Avios, Loganair is an excellent option to consider when planning travel around the U.K. In most cases, Loganair will be your only option, as the U.K.’s flag carrier, British Airways, only connects a handful of regional airports with London Heathrow.

When you have just 1 flight option to some destinations, cash fares can be high. Right now, using points for your flight provides even more value than usual.
