Much like Air France-KLM Flying Blue Promo Rewards, Lufthansa Miles & More has a regular promotion offering discounted reward redemptions for flights on Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS.

Lufthansa has launched its newest Miles & More Mileage Bargains (“Meilenschnäppchen” is fun to say) for September, and this version is a shell of its former self. Unfortunately, there’s not much to speak of for U.S. flyers this month.

Here’s what you need to know.

Promotion Details

This month’s list of Miles & More Mileage Bargains comprises hundreds of deals on flights around the world. However, there’s just 1 offer on flights between the U.S. and Europe. Yes, you read that right.

However, savings are savings at the end of the day, and, speaking objectively, it’s a good deal on the single route that’s available from the U.S. this month. If you want to take advantage, you’ll need to book before September 30, 2025, and fly between December 15, 2025, and January 31, 2026.

And before we go too far, understand that these flights can’t be canceled for a refund. Your travel plans should be firm before you confirm a reservation.

Business Class Deals

There are no business class deals to or from the U.S. this month.

Premium Economy Deals

There aren’t any premium economy deals to or from the U.S. this month.

Economy Deals

This month, there is just 1 economy deal available from the U.S., costing 25,000 miles round-trip.

You can fly with Discover Airlines (formerly known as Eurowings Discover) between Las Vegas (LAS) and Frankfurt, Germany (FRA). These flights typically cost 50,000 miles round-trip, which is a significant savings.

Earning Lufthansa Miles

When looking purely at the mileage cost, these flights offer some pretty incredible bargains. Unfortunately, earning Lufthansa miles can be difficult, as Miles & More doesn’t partner with any transferable point currency, and the taxes and fees can be very expensive.

However, if you’re interested in taking advantage of these monthly promotions, you may want to consider signing up for the co-branded Lufthansa credit card. Issued by Barclays, the Miles & More® World Elite Mastercard® currently features a generous welcome bonus offer after meeting the minimum spend.

Final Thoughts

This is a disappointing trend for Lufthansa’s monthly Mileage Bargains. We hope this is an anomaly, rather than a sign of the future state of this typically excellent promotion.

Still, if the available route suits your travel plans, there’s no denying it’s a good deal at just 25,000 miles for a round-trip flight from the West Coast to Germany.

However, taxes are high, and earning Lufthansa miles isn’t as simple as transferring your credit card points. Instead, you’ll want to grab the Lufthansa Miles & More card or take advantage of other methods to help build your balance. If you’ve got the required miles and can travel during the eligible window, these monthly offers present great value.

Let’s just hope we see more available deals for U.S.-based flyers in future months.
