Much like Air France-KLM Flying Blue Promo Rewards, Lufthansa Miles & More has a regular promotion offering discounted reward redemptions for flights on Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS.

Lufthansa has launched its newest Miles & More Mileage Bargains (“Meilenschnäppchen” is fun to say) for August, and this version is a shell of its former self. There are still some deals, but there’s not much.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Promotion Details

This month’s list of Miles & More Mileage Bargains comprises hundreds of deals on flights around the world. This includes an incredibly disappointing 3 offers on flights from the U.S. to locations around Europe. No, there aren’t any missing numbers.

Discounts vary depending on your destination and fare class, and taxes can be quite high, but you’ll still find some great offers on business, premium economy, and economy class redemptions. Keep in mind you must book these before August 31 and fly between November 15 and December 31, 2025.

And before we go too far, understand that these flights can’t be canceled for a refund. Your travel plans should be firm before you confirm a reservation.

Business Class Deals

There’s just 1 deal in business class this month. Even worse than that number is the fact these awards cost 55,000 miles per person round-trip in previous versions of this promotion.

This month, you can book with Brussels Airlines from New York-Kennedy (JFK) to Brussels, Belgium (BRU) for 61,000 miles round-trip.

Premium Economy Deals

There aren’t any premium economy deals to or from the U.S. this month.

Economy Deals

This month, 2 economy deals are available from the U.S., costing 25,000 miles round-trip.

You can fly with Discover Airlines between Las Vegas (LAS) and Frankfurt, Germany (FRA) or with Brussels Airlines between New York-JFK and Brussels (BRU).

Earning Lufthansa Miles

When looking purely at the mileage cost, these flights offer some pretty incredible bargains. Unfortunately, earning Lufthansa miles can be difficult, as Miles & More doesn’t partner with any transferable point currency, and the taxes and fees can be very expensive.

However, if you’re interested in taking advantage of these monthly promotions, you may want to consider signing up for the co-branded Lufthansa credit card. Issued by Barclays, the Miles & More® World Elite Mastercard® currently features a generous welcome bonus offer after meeting the minimum spend.

Final Thoughts

There’s no doubt that Lufthansa’s monthly Mileage Bargains can represent a great deal. At 61,000 miles round-trip for a transatlantic flight in business class, you’d be hard-pressed to find a lower rate anywhere else.

However, taxes are high, and earning Lufthansa miles isn’t as simple as transferring your points. Instead, you’ll want to grab the Lufthansa Miles & More card or take advantage of other methods to help build your balance. If you’ve got the required miles and can travel during the prescribed dates, these monthly offers present great value.

However, the number of deals this month is incredibly low for U.S.-based travelers, and the price increase on business class leaves a sting.
